MINIX X7 KitKat 4.4.2 CE ( Community Edition 2.2.0 )

Hi,
I have a similar problem. Tried to flash my Minix Neo X7 Mini with Rockchip Batch Tool and got a "Download Firmware Fail". Also tried to donwload it again, but no luck there. Tried to flash my friends Minix Neo X7 and succeeded without any problems!
How do I get it running again? Is there another software I can use to upgrade to KitKat 4.4.2 CE?

I'm on 2.3.0.
Few night ago I got a popup for a ota update, I had no time so I skipped it.
Since then it never came back.
Is there a 2.4.0 version? Did someone update?

I installed 2.4.0 and it is working ok, no problem so far.

I am trying to use RKRemoteControl to play games, but I cannot configure it; it works ok to use it "like a touchpad", but when I active the gamepad mode, and it don't do any thing. Can somebody explain me step by step how to configure it? thanks.
