Do you have a way to see if the AC Adapter is working? A multimeter can be had for less than $10(US)
Also, try other receptacles/outlets in your home?
Make sure the plug you are plugging the AC Adapter to, is not being controlled by a wall switch.
      Good luck.

be sure you replugged with original 5 volt plug , i've had customers try a plug "because it fit" and fry their box with 12 volts. I agree that size and power should coincide but...

Yeah, that's definitely something that happens sometimes. I've moved it forgetting that I had multiple different volt/amp ones with the same barrel jack, stupidly forgot to check. Ended up getting it replaced for less than a new one would have cost, but that was definitely very dumb of me.

Did that with my older cell phone I used to have. Was at my Moms house and it was going dead, I THOUGHT she had the same phone I did and she offered to let me use her charger. It fit, phone went nuts, turns out same plug, different phone It was pretty much scrap at that point but we had the replacement policy and they gave me another one Guy was trying to get any data off it for me and asked if I plugged it in to the wrong power supply or something too as it's memory was blank
Gotta be careful, very easy mistake to make with the devices that use the barrel connecters as it can be the right voltage and all that but wrong polarity too.
