I just Dumped a Proscan 10.1 PLT1044 , its a AllWinner Boxchip A10, I need some help

    I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure it is (it's almost certainly compressed so it needn't be huge). I looked around for other possible items you might be missing. The only two that were obvious were '/system/app/UserDictionaryProvider.apk' and references to READ_USER_DICTIONARY & WRITE_USER_DICTIONARY in /system/etc/permissions/platform.xml. Beyond those, I'm at a loss.

    One more thing: in Settings->Language and Input, is 'Spell Checker' enabled? Do other settings there look credible?

      The UserDictionaryProvider.apk file is there and the 2 references are in platform.xml file. Spell Checker is enabled. Language is set to English (US).

      It was doing this since I got the tablet. It still did it after I flashed the factory image and also after applying the update from this thread.

          Hey Joe-I don't know if you're interested, but I never liked the stock keyboard and use 'super keyboard' (search on Google Play). I like it cause you can resize the keys on the keyboard, etc.

          ...it even has dictionary plugins if you want to use anything other than English (not that you would)...

          Anyhow, just my $.02
