This is an impressive update. I flashed through the TF / USB Drive method.

So far two of my major problems with previous firmware (0129) are solved:
        1) Miracast: I can connect my VEGA A880s to HPH now (previous firmware fail to connect). Though not very smooth.

        2) With latest KODI I downloaded myself, HDMI passthrough works!! In previous firmware, I got problem with many movies.

        3) It's the first time, in ANTUTU Video tests, all tests are passed!! (The tests are passed but I found test clips with ac-3 audio did not produce normal sound during the test, don't know why)

So far this is an impressive update from Nagrace. Really well done.

I will try the bundled SPMC tonight. I give up on SPMC because it fail to play the live TV on TVHEADEND. while the latest KODI 15 Alpha 1 from the web did work for me.

                    My Settings is as follows:

                    HPH BOX Settings:
                    Android Audio setting:
                    HDMI Passthrough
                    KODI Audio Setup:
                    Passthrough enabled,
                    AC3 Capable Receiver - ENABLED,
                    DTS Capable Reciver -ENABLED
Enable Dolby Digital Transcoding - DISABLED

                    Hardware connection:
                    HPH --> HDMI --> TV

HPH --> SPDIF --> AMP (my old AMP does not have HDMI input)

Both the TV and AMP can have proper sound output. DTS is available on the AMP.

I guess you can try follow this to reflash the firmware with ANDROID FLASH TOOL
For some reasons, Rockchip is extremely fond of Windows based firmware tools, and instead of providing a simple SD card method, they've continued to use

I never use it though, so flash it on your own risk.

maybe I won't try it yet, perhaps the mega file is corrupted?

This does not just apply here, but to most devices' firmware downloads/updates.
I really wish they would start running checksums for these DLs. I DL a lot of Linux distros(reformed distro junkie), using the checksum checker in the Firefox plugin Downthemall, sure makes that more fool proof. Back in the day, when I had to burn distros to CD/DVD because my PC did not support USB boot, I wasted many discs on corrupt DLs. MD5, SHA* or whatever, checksums insure accurate DLs. In the case of distros, it was just a wasted disc and time. With firmware the results can be far more troublesome.
Whether using the feature in Downthemall or a stand-alone checksum generator/checker, it takes very little time and effort to add/confirm a checksum.
Just my 2 cents. Ok I may have thrown a couple of more pennies in, that I found under the couch.
                          Still, it's just my opinion.
I'll get out of your thread now.

FYI. I use Chrome for MAC to download the MEGA file and flashed without problem.

In that case, I think the file on MEGA should be OK. May be just a bad DL for you.

I wouldn't say it's a bad download (although it can be). But do this first: if the zip file extracts without errors, and if update.zip (or .rar for AndroidTool) extracts without errors, you can be pretty sure it's not a bad download. Zip and rar archives also have checksums (although not as strong as sha1 or md5), but crc32 is also very sensitive to data corruption. And if it happened to me, it wouldn't be the first time I had to flash it one more time for the damn thing to fit in properly
