Increase app storage - repartition storage for Cube Talk 9X U65GT

I have a U65GT 2 GB/16 GB bought recently.
I downloaded EBR_for_16GB_model and followed your instructions exactly to get an error message "BROM ERROR: S_CHIP_TYPE_NOT_MATCH (3168)"

Every configuration is correct, I think, including installation of drivers because I have already made more than a few operations to this tablet through usb from my desktop...

Any clues would be appreciated.

Help. I tried to flash the ebr files and it succeed, but I could not access the internal sd. Tried to do a wipe using recovery, but now I got the message Encryption Unsuccessful. What should I do ?

Edit: I flashed stock rom and it works again.

I'm new here to FreakTab. This is my first post and I'd like to say thanks (to all) already as I've benefited a lot the last couple of days reading posts on here.

After flashing to SS900's rom and expanding my app storage to 6 gig I have to say my u65gt works like it should. I'd be interested in increasing my app storage more though. I have the 32 gig model but the links for the ebr files in this thread seem broken? Any chance of someone posting them again?

Since the initial links to various ebrs is broken, here I post again EBRs for 6,8,10,12 GB app storage. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Yes you can try ebr files from previous posts. I am no sure your experiment will succeed. The android system need internal storage memory to store data for apps. So, if you use 16gb app storage there will be no place for android to store data and cache for apps. You can try it though and see what happens.

Basically I wanted to have only one partition with full 16 GB, like we have in other branded tablets. Do you think it is possible with Cube Talk 9X 16GB ?

I don't think it is possible. However, you can try it and if it doesn't work, you can flash back original ebr files.

Ok. Thanks for your response. I have one more query. When we select EBR of 4 Gb, will it reserve that 4GB for the andriod OS and rest 12 GB will be available for installing apps ?

Also a question about flashing custom recovery in relation to this partition change. I have a 32GB Rooted device, and want to try to flash a custom recovery (Lepi's TRWP for example) with Mobile Uncle tools as I have read in another post.

So, should this be done before changing partition size or can it be done afterwards? If I choose to increase partition size to 14 or 16 GB which custom revovery can I use best afterwards?

Yes you understand correctly.

It doesn't matter whether you are rooted or not, using custom rom or not. You can repartition storage whenever you like
