Works great now, thanks. And thanks for your work on these ROMs. The 701i ROM seems faster than the stock ROM (which was quite slow). If you are updating this ROM again you might want to fix the loader page where it says Polaroid 701C at the top.

I will(or rather I should say Tattman, our resident boot animator will). I mentioned that since I have more than one device with elektricity Rom, to make it more generic. plus, it's an easy thing to replace the bootanimation with one you like more (assuming you find one on the internet you like

Wanting to test out some 705 roms I have home button issues on both debloated stock roms after a few weeks now. I suspect the tablets did an OTA update that broke it, as both have different launchers, software, etc but both eventually had the same problem. The only thing that restores the home buttons (both hard and soft buttons) is a factory reset, which leads me to believe it is a rom issue. So, with that said, since I have to reflash anyway, might as well test one of elektric's out

Haha. Only ROM I've issued for the 705 is modified stock. I only release for the devices I own, which at the moment is the PMID 701C, PMID4311 and PMID701i 13.

Sorry, I know that doesn't help you, it's just easier to maintain this way.

unable to flash rom

I am having a problem flashing the new rom.Livesuite does not install the new rom after following the procedures. I wonder if a driver is needed. I installed the rom previously oin a different tablet. Help..
found a live suit that works, however when I flash the new rom, I am no getting the market etc.. Is there a reason for this?
the new rom has loaded, but having difficulty access the playstore. I initially signed on. use existing account, get gplay store stoped.
any solutions?try to load the703c version but device is not recognized. How to load drivers?
i found out if you connect to your computer with the power on the drivers get loa+++++ded and the device not recognized problem goes away.

The ROM for the PMID703C was build from the stock live suite image, and was specifically built for the PMID703C, however an adventurous person installed this image on his PTAB7XC and had zero issues (in fact, I think he's still running it), which is why I added the PTAB7XC. I do intend to build a modded image for your specific device using your stock image, but haven't done so. If you want to use this image, all you need to do is copy the PTAB's build.prop into the /system folder of my modded image, but it may just be easier to wait if you insist on having the device recognized as such.

Hiya Elektrik. Recently got a PMID1000D. I just have a question...how would you go about editing the splash screens on this thing? The "Internetablet" splash screen kinda annoys me. I'd like to replace it with the normal Polaroid logo. If it's like I'm guessing, the splash screens are just two files in the stock ROM. If I'm correct, could you hook me up with a copy of your PMID1000D ROM with two Polaroid logos, or tell me how to edit/decompile your ROM myself?

I'm not familiar with your particular tab, but if it's coded like the 701c, to change the boot animation you would have to make the changes in the boot img.

I'll let E talk about editing an img. But if they use live suit most of the procedures for an A10/13 should work with it, I think....but E's more knowledgeable about that

Sure. I *have* been able to take the boot logo and make it the plain 'polaroid' though for my ROMs cause I'm with you-the ugly ass logos they put out with these tablets are just painful ha ha!
