Hi It's me again(sorry lol)

an annoyance that would love to see sorted.

The status bar is ALWAYS present in all apps and games.... We don't really need it there as we have hardware keys so could you have it so when we enter apps it dissappears if not needed(like in games) like other tablets??? Or is there a setting I have some how missed to allow me to do this my self??

Hi Lohtse,
there is a very simple way to remove the status bar alltogether.
Go to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/All. Click on the 'Status Bar' app and force stop it. The status bar is gone until the next restart.
A more radical solution would be to remove the status bar app, but this may have side effects.

I think you will have to program your own status bar app. :-)

The responsibility of hiding the status bar is up to the maker of the application. Many apps were made for other version of Android like Froyo etc. So they did not update the apps for gingerbread and possibly honeycomb or ICS to hide the status bar.

In the Android OS is a command that ALL app makers can use to tell the status bar to hide. The app makers just did not do it! For instance run MX Video player. It hides the status bar. Need for speed hot persuit hides the status bar. So really this is not an OS fix but an application fix.

FLASH is NOT working for me on this rom!! Tried Opera,UCweb,Maxthon Mobile,Default browser and Firefox and always states I need to install abode..... The BBC Iplayer requires FLASH and this doesn't work either.... Any ideas or is this to be fixed soon??

Another possible bug....

Sometimes after a reboot I loose apps in the app drawer... if I reboot they reappear!!! Any ideas why and how to resolve the issue??? Doesn't happen on our droid phone,archos 32 and 101 or disgo 6000 just this tab....


Also my boot times terribly long...well over 5 minutes each time....

Install flash 10.3, you may need to uninstall the flash 11 update if you have upgraded, 10.2 nor 11 work but 10.3 is fine.

regarding the App issue, in 'Manage Apps' make sure they are on the device not the SD card as I also had this issue, move to device and they should still be there every time.

The loading issue I believe must be something to do with Sowa's ROM and the amount of stuff you have on the Tablet, when I first installed with nothing on the boot up time was less than a minute but the more I have on the longer it seem to take, maybe it's a home screen issue like in windows, the more we have on the desktop the longer it takes to load up?

am using launcherpro...found if I restart the launcher apps reappear.. As to boot time you are prob right as have 290+ apps installed..

just need to sort g sensors out and my major bugs will be sorted...

am already using opera...sorted the issue by uninstalling then reinstalling flash. Odd it stopped (browser stated had incorrect version yet works with reinstall)...Hope it's a one off but will keep the apk file on my A8G2...
