I have this very useful tool to turn my "android stick" on and off called "a wife" and there is also the more expensive or cheaper version (not clear about that yet) called "a girlfriend". They are voice activated and it works almost every time, depending on your bank account status, what time of the month it is and what you want to use the device for after you've turned it on. Turns out they fail a lot of the time if you want to use the stick to watch porn, but for some reason works flawlessly if the intention is watching a chick flick or do some online shopping. Definitely not bug free, i think it's the best working option out there right now. Clearly not the cheapest... Maybe Bob can work some of the bugs out as i think he recently "celebrated" his anniversary and has A LOT more experience than me.

My wife hasn't installed the remote app yet, I tried it, but result in a big fail. How did you installed it?
Sorry to the OP for this little off-topic.
Some suggestions about remote power on the device is to use a remote ac plug.REMEMBER, YOUR FEEDBACK IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US.My devices:

I have my MX1 hooked up to a belkin Wemo switch http://www.belkin.com/us/wemo
It allows me to power it on and off from anywhere.
My Wife App constantly force closes when I attempt to use it...

Similar issue, but MX2 turns off by itself

Same problem I'm having, but unfortunately, my MX2 turns off by itself. As there is no power button, I have to unplug and plug it back in. Maybe it's some kind of "screensaver", for which I found no settings whatsoever.
BTW, I can turn it off with RC11, and back on within 30 seconds of turning off. But once MX2 was off for a few minutes, there is no way to turn it on.
Anyone knows how to prevent MX2 from turning off by itself? then I could leave it on 24/7.
Thanks.
