First of all, I want to thank you! You did a great job, Finless!!! I'm testing now your ROM and everything works perfect. But I have a one little problem... From the beginning I wanted a Chainfire3D plugin, that will be working on my tab. I can guess that you know this app and what does it do? So, installing the application don't cause any trouble. But when I want to install a CF3D drivers the problem occours... After installation tab reboots and don't want to boot anymore. And I'm not alone, another user had this problem too (but he used a ROM that he created, with ext3). Is it any solution for this? I really want this plugin. So I'll be very greatfull if you can help with that.

Until Chainfire3D comes out with a release that supports our tabs graphics chip, I can't help!
We have the same problem on all these RK29 tablets! Arnova, Polaroid, Nextbook, etc. Chainfire3D causes a BRICK after installation. So this is not something that can be fixed in the ROM. Chainfire must come out with a release to support us.

Hello. I am testing your ROM, everything is great. But I have problem with android market, I think better was older. I have some question for you, can you tell me this ROM will work on R93? Becouse I love honeycomb and it's look like honeycomb.

I have been poking at that ROM yesterday. It's not a real honeycomb. The launcher is called launcher 3.0 also known as RK Launcher. You can get it on the Market and install in on Gingerbread. The other changes I do like in that ROM are location services work over wifi and the status bar is see through and at the bottom. I am trying to import those features into a better working Arnova ROM now. However first attempts show it may require a new kernel. We have no sources for the Kernel for Arnova or the GoClever. So this will make it a lot harder.

market issues

Hi,
I flashed your rom and it works well. I was looking for working calendar and this function finally works fine. I see howevere the market application was better in the oroginal rom after update. Now I cant find many applications which were available before. Is any possibility to restore oroginasl market app?

Sometimes there are market issues since this tablet is not official to google. But if you follow this process you can fix it. If you cant follow, then reflash again (be sure to erase IDB). About 50/50 the Market will work with all apps and about 50% it wont with limited apps. Just the way it is for an unsupported tablet.

Use this process and it should fix it.



Google Market issues:
Market issue "may" still exist. This is common on tablets that are not really supported by Google as a registered device. Most users have no issues but sometimes there can be, The 2 issues that seem to arise when your FIRST TIME try to use the Market are:

A) Cannot logon; "Cannot establish a reliable data connection"
I have tried to recreate this and troubleshoot this. My belief if in fact this happens sometimes when Google servers are doing something or something is going on with them. WHen I had this happen once I simply waited a while and it worked later. So I cannot help too much here. My only suggestion to try is this
a) Install a root file manager like root explorer or ES file manager (enable root access for them)
b) Go in with the file manager and delete /data/misc/imei/imei or data.dat which ever one exists

B) Limited apps listed; I have reproduced this and know how to recreate it and fix it! This has to do (I beleive) that after a factory reset or a flash the tablet creates a ID based on some other IDs and a random key generator. Sometimes this ID Google does not like. So we have to clear that and reboot.
YOU DO NOT EVER NEED TO REFLASH OR DO A FACTORY RESET TO FIX THIS!!!!
DO the following
a) Again using a file manager that has root access go in and delete the follow folders completely from /data/data
com.android.vending (not com.applib.vending!)
com.android.vending.updater
com.google.android.gm
com.google.android.gsf
b) Reboot and do nothing else but run the Market. YOu should get a prompt asking you to accept the Google terms of service. If you did not you did something wrong. Do it again. If you do get the prompt, accept and now the Market should work fully with TONS of apps showing up.
