ERROR not a valid update package !
I have a mk808b (RK3066) with the newest Finless 1.7 installed. I have downloaded the CWM MK808 RK903 file and have renamed it to update.zip. I put it to the external SD card and when updating I received a error on the screen. Error not a valid update package!
Please help

Disconect everything from your pc stick, and with the reset button pressed connect the usb to the stick in the usb OTG, wait untill the pc sounds and show new driver found. Install the driver, is in the Rom by finless /driver folder. When the driver is properly installed, you run the flash tool, and install only the recovery.img
I hope you can backup it.

Originally posted by igorski View PostMy problem is that my mk819 won't boot. It hungs on the first startup picture with 2 pinquins. then it reboots again and back to pinguins... and loop like that. And I assume that you need to have a working system for doing it that way.
I don't have a fw for mk819, but it is stated that it is same as 809II so I will try to flash it with that fw, but I wanted to take backup first....

Originally posted by leolas View PostThe more easy way to install it is how I explain in the first post: rename the file you download to update.zip, copy it to a microSD, and when the system ask you if you want to install the update, say yes. The system will reboot and that is all. You have cwm recovery installed. Now you can erase update.zip and reboot to recovery.

YES,I can enter flash mode,thanks!
Originally posted by leolas View PostPls, if you can, do that I say, unplugg everything, everything is all wires attached to your stick. HDMI wire, power usb wire, all
Now in the pc, open rkflashtool.
Plug a USB wire to the pc.
Now with a clip push the reset botton in the stick(it's in a hole at the opposite corner that the blue led) and maintain it pushed.
While reset button is pushed plug the USB wire to the OTG port.
The pc must sound. New hardware detected. Then you can release the reset button.
In rkflashtool you must see "rkdevice found in loader mode".
Flash the new kernel.
Hope this helps.
PD: The USB port at pc must be usb 2.0 and direct in the pc mainboard.
Thanks,Now the new kernel is flashed and runs stably.
