I've tried to use that trick with the wires 8&9 and no luck. Once I managed to flash the IDB but never to install the ROM. insane! I'm loosing my mind.

Now I am getting one error when flashing finless rom 1.7:

When I press erase NAND IDB it says:
    ERROR lower format failed
    erasing IDB failed

than if i press flash ROM:
    test device failed
    run failed

I put the update.zip from cmw on my external sd card and nothing. No video no image, nothing. But I can see the blue led flashing inside.

If there's anything I can do...

The better way to see if reset button is ok is open the case carefully, the antennas are fragile.

This is usb adapter when usb on tv have to small mA
When i have time i write in english.
Do złacza tv is for tv usb
złącze power is for mk808 power cable
PVR is when your tv have pvr funcion and ther you can insert pendrive to write your tv program.
Do zasilacza is plug to power adapter 2A.
Do huba is when you use hub active. Becouse when you use active hub for big 3,5 hard drive you must use active hub. But when you use them mk808 dont turn off.

My subsequent backup of Finless 2.1 have all the same files(13 files) and also cannot be restored.

I also cannot install CWM by using the update.zip from sd-ext method.

GOOD NEWS is I found out i could install cwm from usb stick using update.zip method.
There is a pop up message asking if i want to copy to sd-int. select yes and after that another popup asking if i want to install update. It installs and reboot to CWM.
So those people who cannot install from sd-ext can use this method from usb stick too. No need pc too.

    UPDATE:
MK808 stock rom successfully restored after reflashing to Finless 2.1 and stock rom backup with missing cache, nandroid.md5 and recovery.log files. This is how i did it:
    1. Have to reflash to Finless 2.1 but using 'parameter original' file-this is important
    2. Installed CWM using usb stick method
    3. Reboot to recovery using Petrus reboot
    4. Restore stock rom with an 'empty' nandroid.md5(your method) and without cache and recovery.log files
It will restore boot.img, kernel.img, system.img. At restoring data files it stopped part way and the CWM menu pop up. Waited a few minutes and seeing nothing happening selected GO BACK and Reboot system.

The stock rom booted up without any problem. Only thing is the apks 'short cut' in the start screen is missing. I supposed this is because data restore failed. But at the apk drawer the user installed apks are there and functioning properly. So it seem only the 'short cut' at start screen failed to restore.

Used it for about 4 hours after restoring and did not find anything wrong with it. So concludes that restore to stock rom is successful even with missing cache, nandroid.md5(original) and recovery.log files.

Thanks alot for your help and method.
