This ROM is based on the January/2013 official Yuandao Firmware Release. It is Rooted with Ext4 file system, CWM Recovery added, dbloated, init.id support.

There are some new features with this ROM that are yet to be utilized, so I'll release an update when Bob has a chance to look and test the Rockchip Mirror feature. Otherwise, you will notice greater screen stability, and a faster charging process (according to Yuandao).

I have noticed that using the external buttons to get into flash mode rarely ever work. Before flashing, make sure USB Debugging is turned off and plug your tablet into your PC. Run the flash app and boot into flash mode by clicking the app button, that works almost 100%. Be sure and erase IDB, and watch to make sure the erase finishes all the way. If not, check your USB connection or try a different cable. Then flash the ROM.

Once flashed, you will boot first into Recovery. Just hit the power button to reboot the device. Next, you will boot the system. Let it boot all the way the first time. Before doing anything else, reboot one more time. Then, you can go through the process of getting your tablet back to normal.

I have done some extensive testing with the apps I use, and with the Google Play Store APP, and I have found that everything I have tested works fine. If there is something you use that you find will not work, please post on this thread, and we can work on it for you.

UPDATE:

I have had a few requests to release a version with the stock UI. Now you have on the download link a choice of "a" or "b". Version "a" is the stock UI. Version "b" is the Snakegenmod UI.

Just installed the ROM Riley very nice indeed, the ui is certainly more polished.

Update. The launcher seems a bit laggy when scrolling screens, like it was on the ICS rom, don't know if the new ui is effecting performance. Jellybean cured this problem with the laggy scrolling, so not quite sure what is causing it.

Did you use the stock Jellybean launcher for this version of Jellybean?

I just used the stock launcher from the official release. The only difference in the UI are the icons. So, any performance hits are associated with the stock ROM I think. I'm using Apex Launcher myself, and I haven't noticed any lags.

Has anyone tried my ROM, yet?

I have been using it, and don't seem to have any problems. I saw one post on another forum that said that this kernel causes some lag, but I haven't noticed it.

Please keep me posted on your experiences...or complaints. If there's anyting I can fix, I'll give it a shot.

Rrileypm the screen goes a bit crazy with the new kernel 135, for example load up browser and just press on an area of the screen and you just get wobble, and when scrolling as well

Ok I'll give that one a try. I have been messing with this N90S so much, I haven't run across those issues on my N101.

Is it just the stock browser that does it, or any browser? I never use the stock browser.

New Update For N101

Hi all, how is the new ROM shapping up? What issues are being found? How is the sound issue/buzzing? Is the SD card still ejecting. Are we ablle to connect a HDD to the tablet yet.

I can say that Yuandao has fixed the whining issue with the screen being dimmed in settings. That's no longer a problem.

I guess as a habit...since Finless reported the SD card problem...is to keep my external SD formatted in NTFS format, so I never get the ejecting/corruption problem. I admit, I haven't even attempted to test that one.

I'm not real happy with how CWM works with this ROM, in fact...the other two Yuandao tablets I'm doing ROM's for simply will not allow CWM to work...so I'm having to stick with stock recovery, which isn't really a recovery tool. I'm still learning...spending this whole past week playing with CWM to no avail.

Otherwise, my tablet is running great with this new ROM.
