Hi, I can confirm that it worked, unfortunately it doesn't have the tun.ko module in the kernel.
Is there a way to enable it?

Griser rom 2.1 finless

Has anyone been able to gain root access with this rom? It installs fine but no root access.

Sorry my friend, you are out of luck. There is no finless rom for your device. Try to play around with the video decoding settings in xbmc. Try enable/disable mediacodec/libstagefright.

I have the same box...

I just bought mine from G-buying as well with the same RTL8723BS Chipset....any luck on finding best custom firmware or XBMC version?

Also, is this a clone or real - mine looks like none of the pictures.

I have the same box as you...any luck finding anything that works? I didn't back mine up (dumb...I know) and am now having trouble finding ANY ROM that will get past the boot screen. (sigh)

I've been trying to find ANY ROM that will work for my mk808b I purchased from geekbuying a couple of week ago. So far I have tried finless 1.7 (which bricked my box, I was able to unbrick by shorting pins 7&8), Kitkat 4.4.2 (result-wouldn't go past boot screen), 2 ROMS from thread on very new clones (lost kernel-see link above)(one was backup from someone's new box, another was from a Chinese seller)(result=blank screen/no signal). I contacted geekbuying for "original ROM" and they sent me finless 2.1 (result=2 penguins). I've done others (more a stab in the dark than actually believing the will work). I'm at a loss. I'm attaching pictures of my box if anyone might have mercy on my poor noob soul and help me out. I'll keep trying in the meantime...at this point I don't care what the ROM does if I can just get it back to factory....Thanks a billion!
