Just updated to Bobs 1.4 rom. Very quick loading from boot up, everything seems quicker and smoother and so far everything is working great. Would like to say a big thank you to Bob and to everyone that has contributed to the new roms. I think this is a great site and a credit to you all. Thank you all very much.

Did you reboot the tablet after flash! After first flash you must reboot the tablet one more time.

            Hi Mr.Bob,
Thank for your advice. Anyway, it's not workable.
            Here is my actions:
            - Download the driver and ROM 1.4 above.
            - Plug cable to connect tablet with PC.
            - Hold Menu + Power button then press Reset key for 5 seconds then release Reset key.
            - Install rockchip device with downloaed driver.
            - Run file RK29update.exe to flash. EraseIDB and then Run. Tablet will be automatically rebooted after finishing Run. Then i check internal memory, it's still 0.00 kb. Then i reboot again but internal memory was not changed.

I tried to Flash again from action one to the last but could not improve the memory. Pls study and advise me with many thanks.

Well I am not sure what to say. Remember I do not have this Tablet so I cannot test anything. You guys are testers! So I cannot answer why you are having this problem. No one else is reporting it

                It's workable now!

                Hi Mr.Bob,
It works great now. Before, I've tried the older version 1.3c many times but still failed. The reason is that i didn't checked the box LOADER when open the file RK29update.exe to Flash device.
                Now, it's very good.
Thank for your assistance and your great job Mr.Bob.

                  Possible USB issue

I've installed and everything seems much much faster and responsive however I do have one issue which may actually be an existing "stock build" problem. I thought I should raise it all the same.

ensure you dont have an sdcard inserted
move an app to sdcard (this will actually move it to sub-folder called sdcard)
                  insert usb stick
select "unmount" usb stick from menu
                  usb unmounts

any program that is installed to sdcard will no longer launch unless you reboot.

As noted above this may be a issue with the stock build so can I ask anyone with a stock build to check - I'm loving latest ROM too much to downgrade =)

After the first flash you need to reboot or the sdcard may not mount properly.

Bob, just to be clear - I dont have an sd card inserted. that's the weird thing. the apps have been installed in a sub-folder on internal storage (i'm assuming it's normally the mount point when you have and sd card inserted) yet removing a usb stick seems to screw things up. very strange. also this is way after flashing (i.e all up and running with some apps installed)

I would put money on this being a stock arnova problem - there seem to be quite a few.

                        Hi Pswartout,
I have got same problem and i've experienced that this problem occured with original ROM, not just with this ROM. I think the device recognizes both SD card and USB stick as the same external memory so when we unmount one of them, it'll be unmounted all.
For the ROM of Bob, it works great, fast and smooth. Really appreciate!

                          Date time reset problem?

A couple of times - both with 1.3c and now with 1.4 ROMs - I've experienced issues with the clock resetting itself whilst the device is suspended / sleeping. This doesn't seem to correspond to any specific error (i.e. no lock up, reboots, etc).

I can't remember this happening with the "stock ROM" but that might not mean much.

Maybe I have a faulty device? Anyone else experiencing this?

I have same problem. Clock on my tab goes his own way. On stock rom was the same.
