You do not say what tablet your asking about? But any of the Arnova's you CANNOT get write access to /system without flashing a custom ROM. This is because they use a CRAMFS file system and that is a read only file system period. So to get write access you must flash a custom ROM.

Hello Finless, I am trying to revive an almost dead arnova 9g2.
I had one of your roms installed, I don't remember which. Suddenly the tablet doesn't turn on, unless I plug the usb cable (tablet to PC or charger), and then it gets stuck in bootloop.
So... can you please fix the link in your first post to download the rom?
