        OK analysing this new MK808 4.2.2 ROM.
        It is using a new kernel 3.0.36+

        So unless we get Omegamoon, Kizs, etc to make new kernels, porting this to 3.0.8+ kernels wont bring all the benefits. But I will do it for those that want it and awaiting new kernels.

        At least it is a start.

          Re: 4.2.2 soon on MK808 !!!

          I am testing the 4.2.2 for mk 808, I unpaked it and made a zip to be flashed by cwm, of course wifi dont work in mk808b, i am rooting it (trying at least ;P)
          to study some logs of the new kernel.

            First issue

            OK so first stumbling block... rotting this thing

            Using ADB I pushed SU and Superuser.apk
            Changed permissions chmod 6755 for su.
            Thought I was ready to go and was rooted.

            However opening a terminal emulator and typing su I get a error I have never seen before.
            Java exception permission denial. su being called by user -1 expect user 0

            So it appears this new multiple account thing requires some other changes to get root.
            Now to go study and figure it out!

              Same on me. Copy superuser.apk su and made the symlink to /system/xbin
              I don't have play cause I have no WiFi and the terminal I installed dont work too :P

                      OK ChainDD's SU works. Also chainfire relesed this 1.25 version that also works.

                        Yes it works, thanks, superuser.apk creator claims in his web that is from 1.6 to 4.1, maybe thats why is not working. More work for you Bob, change user is from the lockscreen, but I didnt see how to enter in it. Kernel dmesg is with a lot of differences. But I see some modules 3.0.8+ like nand concerned. I hope we can use the old kernel. Need to go dinner with family now. Tomorrow I will see your great advances.

                          OK another issue I am finding is this ROM is set so USB on is a MTP device!
                          In this new ROM there is no setting I can find to change it to a Mass Storage device unless you use the other RK Settings APP which I usually like to remove as part of debloat.

                          Why did they take it out of regular settings?
                          Stupid....


                          Also there is a little bloat here. Anyone play with the wifi screen thing yet?

                          I am going to try and have a 2.0 BETA release today. Not much will be in it to start
                          rooted
                          init.d support
                          debloated
                          gameloft patches
                          update play store and gapps (yes new ROM and they are still old!)
                          Enable location servcies and Accesability settings (I have no idea WHY they disabled them?)

                          Maybe a little more....
