    Excellent Rom. I use BSPlayer to stream vids from LAN and significant improvement (from 1.7) on MP4 and MKV file playback. Works flawlessly so far.

    I noticed that I cannot get a few items from Google Play anymore, for instance SoundCloud and Speedtest.net say that device not supported. I use these on my Nexus 4 which is also a JB 4.2.2. Can you help with this?

    This is a Beta ROM, so you'll have to tweak it yourself. Modify /system/build.prop to match the Samsung model that Finless Bob uses in his 1.7x ROMs, use the build.prop lines from your Nexus 4, or modify the following lines like I did:
    ro.product.model=Nexus 7
    ro.product.brand=Google
    ro.product.name=nakasi
    ro.product.device=grouper
    ro.product.board=grouper
    ro.product.manufacturer=Asus
    MK808 w/Omegamoon kernel, CWM recovery, & Finless 1.7 ROM

        photosphere

        Has anyone been able to test if you can view photospheres on this rom? I know the camera won't work but would be cool if I could view photospheres taken on my camera on the big screen. In finless 1.7 I'm not able to view even in Google + app.

        Thanks,
        JustinL42

            Wifi display / WI-Fi display / widi / miracast

            I played around with the WiFi Display last night and it worked ok. I used the native Wireless Display functionality which is built-in on the Nexus 4 / Android 4.2.2. I connected my Nexus to my home wifi where the MK808 was and the Nexus was able to see the MK808 as a WIDI. So it fully replicated my phones screen on the TV independent of which App I was running. Was pretty slick.

            Couple of "minor" issues I noticed on my quick 5 minutes test.
            1. Sound did not travel completely through, ie. Error beeps went through, but not youtube sound.
            2. It was sluggish, but not in-usable.
            3. It froze the MK808 once and had to hard reset it to bring it back alive.

            Regards,
            John

              Hi, Bob
              Does the JB 4.2.2 ROM support the AX88178a USB 2.0 to 1G LAN adapter now?

                You will just have to try it.
                I do not have every dang device out there that can be plugged into it and tested!
                So asking me if it works or not I just cannot answer as I do not have a device with that chip. So again all I can say is try it and report back for others.

                "Прости им, они не ведают, что творят"
                "Perdona loro perché non sanno quello che fanno"
                "Vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun"
                "Vergeef hen want ze weten niet wat ze doen"
                "Pardonne-leur car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font"
                "Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
                "Oprosti im, jer ne znaju što čine"
                "Forgive them as they know not what they do"

                    Hi, im running this beta and i havent notice any bugs. its great! performance is so much better than in stock rom.

                    i was wondering does stick really shutdown when i do shutdown it from reboot program/or from bar?

                    coz i stays warm after that and led stays on. also, is there way to turn it on with button or something when it is on that mode?

                      is this rom compatible whit mk802III like the 1.7 finless rom?
                      anyone have tried?
                      I'm wondering the same, since the mk802 and mk808 are in the same subforum.
                      Although I'm using Finless 1.7 for UG802.

                      Anyone?
                      ___

                      Edit:
                      Ok I think I found the answer, mk802III has Realtek RTL8188EUS wireless chipset and the MK808 has a RK901 (BCM40181 - Broadcom 4329 Based Chipset), so you could lose the wifi if this rom is installed on the mk802III.

                      So the big question now is, why are the rikomagic sticks and the mk808 in the same subforum?

                        For me the answer is : why mk802III is not interesting for developers? Fortunately the ug802 Rom is compatible and we can flash a good Rom, but we not have specifically Roms

                          realtek wifi support

                          Hi Bob,

                          Any plans of adding rtl8192 and 8188 drivers support in your ROMs ?

                          Thanks!

                            Does anyone have a build.prop for google play store access?
                            I already tried some combinations but it seems not to work. I cleared the play store cache and rebooted after every modification.
