    Hi,
At the moment I am on Finless 1.7 + "User Friendly edition" of XBMC (http://www.xbmcandroid.com/2013/01/1...oid-must-have/).
It's better to move to a different configuration/xbmc edition ?

Another question, is sportsdevil plugin working for you ?
With my current configuration, I am unable to open almost every stream on sportsdevil.

Today I decided to finally install XBMC and meet. It's cool! But it takes a lot of processor in the MK808. They do not run smooth ...
      I'm using: Finless 1.7c stock

(Note: see the CPU usage at the bottom right)

      >>> I tested a version without graphics acceleration (impossible):

      >>> I tested the version with graphics acceleration suggested by member dark_angel (improved):

      (hardware acceleration enabled)

(doing nothing, look at the processor)

      >>> Now playing at MX Player (without using XBMC) (very good) (here video is 1080p):

XMBC with hardware acceleration should not be better? So much for playing videos, animation showing how to play music, etc.

When closing XBMC, processing falls practically to zero.

XBMC Media Center is an award-winning free and open source cross-platform software media player and entertainment hub for digital media for HTPCs (Home theater PCs). It uses a 10-foot user interface designed to be a media player for the living-room, using a remote control as the primary input device. Its graphical user interface (GUI) allows the user to easily browse and view videos, photos, podcasts, and music from a harddrive, optical disc, local network, and the internet using only a few buttons. The XBMC project is managed by the non-profit XBMC Foundation, and developed by volunteers located around the world. Since its creation in 2003 more than 60 software developers have contributed to XBMC, and 100-plus translators have worked to expand its reach, making it available in more than 40 languages.

        What can XBMC do?

Currently XBMC can be used to play almost all popular audio and video formats around. It was designed for network playback, so you can stream your multimedia from anywhere in the house or directly from the internet using practically any protocol available. Use your media as-is: XBMC can play CDs and DVDs directly from the disk or image file, almost all popular archive formats from your hard drive. XBMC will scan all of your media and create a personalized library complete with boxcovers, descriptions, and fanart. There are playlist and slideshow functions, a weather forecast feature and many audio visualizations. Once installed, your computer will become a fully functional multimedia jukebox.

Can XBMC get me nice chicks?

        Definitely NOT!

        How to get XBMC?
Superman Bob already included libstagefright.so in 1.7 so you do not have reflash it. Just download the Hardware acceleration built of 19-Feb. and get into the world of "Couch Potatoes", its an apk file so just install through explorer. Here is the link,

By the moment the best playback that i was to use is enabling an external player like mx player and editing playercorefactory.xml file. you loose some of the capabilities of xbmc like download the subtitle of the movie but defintly mx player its an excelent video player.

How to install mx player and use it as default external player for xbmc, (this is a custom version of xbmc)

              Step 1
: Install the “MX Player” application to your Android device. You can do this through the Google Play store, or simply by navigating to this page on your device’s web browser and then clicking on the link below:

              Neon Device: http://s3.amazonaws.com/1.7.13/video..._13_market.apk

              Code:
[I][B]NOTE[/B][/I]: Should you encounter any errors at this point, make sure to Enable “Unknown sources” under “Security -> DEVICE ADMINISTRATION” within your device’s “Settings” panel.
Step 2: Launch and exit the “MX Player” application on your device at least once before continuing.

              Step 3
: Download and install the “XAF Custom Build of XBMC” to your Android device. You can do this by navigating to this page on your device’s web browser and then clicking on the appropriate download link below:

Step 4: Once it’s done installing, launch the “XBMC” application on your device for the first time, wait a few seconds before you begin using it, then jump right in!
Congratulations! You should now be running XBMC like a champ. It might seem a little bit complex the first time, but all good things seem that way. Just play around with it and without question you’ll become addicted, which isn’t a bad thing in this case! Hey guys, i got my UG007II yesterday, flashed Finless 1.7 (1080p) for the MX1/2 on it today and installed the 19-3-13 hardware accelerated build of XBMC on it. Unfortunately playback was pretty much the same as with the default ROM (without the ligstagefright fix). I knew it wasn't fully working yet, but expected a little bit more.

I'll be following the development of XBMC and this thread closely. For me using an external player isn't really an option. I've been using XBMC for a long time on my HTPC and could never get used to using an external player back then either. Anyway im sure it's just a matter of time before it'll work flawlessly like with DXVA(2) on windows.

I noticed mhagnumdw did some test and used a CPU load monitor. When you press the letter O while playing back a video you will get onscreen information about the video file (audio and video specs) but also about the current CPU load for each core. It will also show you the current framerate and the amount of dropped frames. I guess this is a more precise way of measuring performance.

by the moment the only good solution is the external player its not so bad. the only bad thing i can think about its you cant download the subtitle.

                          my current setup,KISS

keeping it simple running Finless 2.0 on my MK808 with the latest xbmc 12.1 gives me the best result. You tube and 1channel,ice, and project free TV all running well. I have tried all the versions using lib stage and playcorefactory.XML without success. my setup isn't liking naxi-x it causes many crashes. Also working sling and HBO go. not working are Netflix (bad video) and hulu and (installs but when opened get incompatible only browse error). getting really close with Bob's 2.0 and xbmc 12.1! Joe

Is this with any form of GPU accelerated decoding or all done by CPU?

I've tested the xbmcandroid with mx player an it works well.
At the moment i have a other problem with the xbmc versions from xbmcandroid and xbmc.org.
I can't play any movie directly from the moviedatabase.
Xbmc shows a dialog: working and crashes after a few seconds.
If I select the movies directly with Videos->Files everything works fine.
                                On windows everything works perfectly.
Does anyone has an idea what problem it could be?
