WHY? HOW? should I get XBMC on my MK808 & MK808B

I've tested the xbmcandroid with mx player an it works well.
At the moment i have a other problem with the xbmc versions from xbmcandroid and xbmc.org.
I can't play any movie directly from the moviedatabase.
Xbmc shows a dialog: working and crashes after a few seconds.
If I select the movies directly with Videos->Files everything works fine.
On windows everything works perfectly.
Does anyone has an idea what problem it could be?

Ah mx player is only started for local files. It still uses the internal player for network files.

Do you think it could be a problem with the scrapingoptions?
All covers and informations are shown in the database.
Only the direct playback from the database will not work.

I've tested it with the Finless 1.7 and 2.0 Rom.
The files are on a directly connected usb hard drive.

xbmc context menu

Installed Xbmc with Finless 1.7 . Really works great very stable watching many sports streams using sportsdevil plugin.
I only have a remote mouse as my contoller. In order to activate context menu the Xbmc wiki calls the right mouse click however my right mouse click is programmed to go back to previous page/menu.
What can be done to change right mouse button in order to open context menu?

I never used sportsdevil plug-in but if you have ">" on upper right hand side corner, context menu will show up by clicking it. If you use Navi-X it will work for sure.

I see the">" in Navi-x which brings up the context menu but in all other addons the ">" is non existent
So still hunting for a solution at the moment I use a usb keyboard.

Is the only way of increasing the font/text size of XBMC (movie titles etc), changing the xml file, or is there an easier way of doing it?

I have a problem with XBMC XMF. My philips 47pfl6007 doesn`t play audio coded in dts. When i try to play any HD movie which has dts audio i got an error message "unsupported audio codec dts, try custom codec".

Any solutions?

I solved it. First i tried to change some things in xbmc audio setup but it didn`t work. I had to change codec in MX Player from H/W+ to H/W.

you can use hw+, you just need to install the dts custom codec for mx player:

install the arm for neon version. get the zip, unpack it, and go to decoder section in mx player scroll down to custom codec and point it to the folder you unzipped to.

media content problems..any help?

Can anyone help me on how to make my xbmc work with my media collections.
i have mk808 finless bob 1.7 720p kernel by 2dark4u. i have a powered 2tb external hard drive. with movies and tv shows. each movie(720p or less) and tv shows have thier scrapper, meta data (info and fanarts)already saved(exported) in thier folders individually from my laptops xbmc so xbmc android doesn't need to download fresh ones from the net. however. when i try to update movie and tv library..xbmc runs for a while and then freezes and i have to restart mk808 or it restarts by itself. so far, it has only been able to update 1300 movies out of about 2700. is there anything i am not doing right?
i love the meta data and fan arts etc been displayed with the movies..mxplayer and the lot dont seem to be able to do that. any help or advice or optional media player? i basically use my mk808 to play movies..i dont stream or use the ad-ons
