from what I understand, so these android sticks also work with simply power of pc usb, not imagined, in this case everything is easier (apart from having to bring a laptop from work near the tv and android stick ).
otherwise if it is easy to exctract kernel from .img and transform to .zip I think it's much better. thank you a lot loalas :-)

Not exactly, to make a cwm zip flashable you need a zip signed and a little script who tell cwm what to do. I will search the zip and give it to you.

Ok i made some zips for you.

fratello 2 zips for you, you must install from cwm recovery, like allways I suggest to make a backup of your actual rom with cwm before install this:

First lets flash the boot.img with this zip:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...333fd93801136f(this zip must work for mk808finless rom 1.7c and mk808b finless rom 1.7)

After install from cwm recovery this file too, with it we will install the module and a script in init.d so it will load in each boot:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...b4391b7af6dc3a(this script must work for all devices that uses init.d support)
Please tell me if your wifi donge works with it

For you hitman72, I cant find my kernel.zip so I made a new one, flash it from cwm recovery, inside is a empty kernel.img, you only need to open it with winrar or 7zip(only open dont extract) and drag&drop inside the kernel you want to use:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...510eb25f1b4905 DONT USE THIS ZIP DIRECTLY, INSIDE IS A EMPTY KERNEL.IMG

cwm recovery is very easy to install, and you can use it to flash roms without the pc and to make backups of your current rom. I really suggest everyone install it, cause if you get a nand corruption or boot fails is a easy way to restore the device to a working state (will all your apks installed) in less of 5 minutes.

ok, just to say all works fine with 720p kernel, eyes rest, all is much smoth (expecially "go launcher hd") and I have gained up to 15 fps in some games. but the most important thing for me is that 8712u.ko works still great. thank you a lot leolas

OK, later today (after work) I will try to "upgrade" to an working USB WiFi ...
So :
-first step = installing CWM from here : http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/rk3066/
-then put file "boot_with8712u_support.zip" on SD-card, reboot in recovery mode (apk made by Petrus - must installed or is in Mr.Finless ROM ?), install this zip file ;
-after that, put file "8712u_wifi_suport.zip" on SD-card, re-reboot in recovery mode, install this zip too
-restart in "normal mode" and the USB wifi stick must be available for use.
It's OK ?!

Copy 2 files to sdcard or external sdcard
Install both in the order I gave you in the post abobe.

Restart and you must have WiFi.

If something is wrong you restore your backup and everything goes back to the state you was before the zips was installed

Why do I need to "Fitst make a backup of your current Rom. Very important!'" ?!?

Cause if something goes wrong in the flash progress yoy only need to enter in cwm recovery powering the device with the reset button pressed and restore your backup and everything is restored at the moment you made the backup.
The procces must work, but I don't have exactly your stick(mine is the b version) and I don't have exactly your WiFi dongle.
Is a security option, with a backup made you have nothing to fear.

I choose to "reboot to recovery" ...and I wait for about 10 minutes ...Screen is black ; blue LED ON ; but nothing happens ... If I turn power off I brick my device ?!

Yes, he was bricked ... So, I re-flashed (Fortunately successfully !) with Finless 1.7c.
Any -new- suggestion ?!

Thats very extrange. you have mk808 original right?
And you downloaded from freaktab the zip for mk808.
I will explain it step by step.
Now you have Finless rom 1.7c for mk808 installed. Lets start from this point.
Take a microsd card, and copy inside the zip you download from androtab. Rename it to update.zip and insert it to the device..
Android will ask you that a update is found and if you want to apply it.
Push yes.
The system will reboot and install the zip, don't touch it untill the sticks reboot in cwm recovery.
Now arrow down untill backup and restore. Now you must choose backup to sdcard or external sdcard, I prefer external sdcard cause if you have a problem with the stick you will have a working backup in the external sd.
Wait untill the backup finish. And reboot.
Now copy to your sdcard the 2 zip I gave you.
Now select install zip from sdcard.
Install both files.
Reboot.
Now your WiFi dongle must work. If you have any problem ask.

because here they are very friendly with us "noobs", expecially leolas :-) I will try to help if possible. with ug007 to install cwm I downloaded the appropriate zip, moved it to root of internal sd, renamed in "updated.zip" and rebooted the android stick. at the reboot, android sees "update.zip" and asks to make the update, just tell yes, and after another reboot you have cwm installed. ciao :-) I think that this method works with all rk3066 devices. ciao :-)
