You have mk808 original right? RIGHT !
And you downloaded from freaktab the zip for mk808. YES !

Now you have Finless rom 1.7c for mk808 installed. Lets start from this point.
Take a microsd card, and copy inside the zip you download from androtab. Rename it to update.zip and insert it to the device.. OK !
Android will ask you that a update is found and if you want to apply it. NO !!!

When you insert the microSD is the stick on? It must be on and then it will ask you about the update. Is very extrange, the Android with the red triangle is the stock recovery

I tried again...inserting the SD-card with update.zip WHILE the stick was ON. Upgrade detected, say "Yes", re-boot, same injured Android ...
I copied the update.zip into root of internal. Open file explorer, update detected, say "Yes", re-boot, Android with same animation in "stomach" but soon all stop, blue screen ... I expected about 5 minutes
...no sign of life, so I re-flashed ( so well it worked !) with 1.7c.
I think it's something wrong with my MK808, don`t ?!
So...for now I stop here, I`m afraid to spoil the device ...

mmmmm, that is a very extrange thing i will upload a update.zip for you, try with it, if it didnt work I dont know what more can I do

The last try, lets see if this update.zip works. Download it and copy it to sdcard, accept the install and cross the finguers.

Thanks ! I will try this version tomorrow ...now I have no more access to any device (my little boy is ready to sleep ).
Question : maybe it's better to "downgrade" to Finless 1.6 or 1.5 ROM ?!?

I dont think that, 1.7 is better, at least for me. And the cwm problem will be the same for all roms

I'm back !
Installed cwm ... with some errors (? illegible because of displaying wrong...). Made backup on SD-card (FAT32 formatted). Re-boot - but stuck on boot, with Finless 1.7 screen ...
Rebooted (with switch pressed) to cwm, restore from SD-card, all OK !
Erasing update.zip from SD-card, copied "boot_with8712u_support.zip" to SD-card (without changing name of file).
Reboot in recovery mode, tried to install zip from sdcard - no success ; tried to mount external_sd - no success ! Attached results of log ...
Now ?!?

This is very extranged again Your external sdcard is formated in fat32 and it is not recognized by cwm? sure that is in fat32 and not in ntfs?
Well at least we have cwm installed now and we get a functional backup, right?
well lets do it step by step
reboot and enter to Finless rom.
If it fails and get a bootloop tell me.

LOL I think that I sent you the mk808b cwm zip instead of mk808 zip and I am searching for the mk808.zip and i cant find it

Thanks to Leolas - whom I thank for putting up with me - I have a wifi dongle adapter that works correctly TP-Link-WN723N. Unfortunately, the reception is -at least- as bad as the internal antenna ...So I have not solved anything by purchasing this adapter !
I have to make a last attempt : Biquad Antenna (http://martybugs.net/wireless/biquad/) !

I have noticed that while using my K400 keyboard the wifi signal was week. The signal from the keyboard was interfering with the wifi signal of the mk808. If I move the keyboard reciever to a usb hub, I get a much better signal. The hub allows for a few inches of seperation from the mk808.

Tried today with a mouse ...long cable (about 2 meters !) and removing wireless keyboard. NO IMPROVEMENT ! This stick it's really crap on WiFi ...

hallo, i have a rtl8188cu and i tried a driver for a rtl8192cu. after the replacement of the rkwifi.ko file, the wifi adapter blinks its led every 5 second (not as when is plugged into the pc) but it doesn't show me any connection. Maybe is it the wrong driver? i tried several drivers but this is the only that appears to work... anyone has this chipset?

edit: problem solved. flashing the finless 1.7a the wifi usb works
