        Driver for HG209F

        Hi Leolas,

I have a HG20F9 based USB2LAN and I managed to get it working on Ubuntu (Kernel 3.5+) using the make/make install steps from slatedroid --> http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/4714...hernet-dongle/

However I believe that the reason why it is not working on my MK808 running Finless 2.1 is that the Kernel version is 3.0.36+ and the compilation provided on this thread is for kernel 3.0.8+

I read that in previous posts there were some problems trying to get it to work, I am indeed getting the following error when trying insmod on the driver I downloaded from this thread:

insmod: init_module '/system/lib/modules/HG20F9.ko' failed (Exec format error)

Is there any possibility that the same driver is compiled for Kernel version 3.0.36+ please? Or do I have to upgrade my ROM version? (finless 2.1 came with 3.0.36+)

Source can be downloaded at: https://github.com/linuxerwang/HG20F...ive/master.zip

        Can you help please?

        Thanks.

Fuse kernel modules for cx803 stick running finless rom 1.7

I've cx803 running Finless rom 1.7 (version string pasted below)

              Linux localhost 3.0.8+ #143 SMP PREEMPT Mon Jan 14 11:38:47 CST 2013 armv7l GNU/Linux

I've written a fuse filesystem on a embedded device which I want to integrate into this stick. But the kernel doesn't have fuse support enabled.

Can you please help me get a fuse.ko modules for this kernel or guide me the sources from where i can build this kernel module.

Its a rockchip based dual core dongle with 1G RAM with realtek wifi.

              Thanks in advance,
              Aks

                Hi Leolas,

I am trying to get a modified asix driver to load alongside the built-in asix driver. I need your help.
Here are the source files: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bgqpfsnhhgcnjde/QAF8zeXi9l

I need this for the Finless 1.7 rom (3.0.8+ kernel)

Please let me know if they compile. Thank you.

Thankyou for your effort. I have an MK808B from geekbuying JB 4.1 and another one with JB4.2. It came rooted by default. It has the stock rom (couldnt succeed in flashing the Finless rom till now). I wanted to add touchscreen support for this dongle.

I am using eGalax generic digitizer and controller with VendorID : 0eef and ProductID : 0001. I tried adding the vendor_0eef_product_0001.idc file to the system/usr/idc folder with the following content:

                  touch.deviceType=touchScreen
                  device.internal=1

On rebooting its not responding to any touch input. I suspect the touch screen driver is missing. What else could be the reason?

How can we check whether the touchscreen driver is already installed? Also is there any way to install the driver alone similar to Windows?

Note: I am a novice in Linux / Ubuntu, so jargons will confuse me. I tried to read through all your posts in this thread to avoid any repeated question, but at the end I am confused, so I am posting this request. Also please post the link if the answer is already mentioned before.

                  ------Update--------
I am able to flash the Finless 1.7 rom using CWM Recovery procedure. So the touch screen driver support need to be for the Finless 1.7 rom.

That is the last modules I compiled for nfs.

Compile drivers adapting Linux sources is a tedious work, I haven't the devices, and most of the times, they are not designed for android. So the success rate is incredibly low, and the time spent in do that is very high.

I had some family problems recently , my father had a cerebral infarction some time ago, 2 weeks ago he had a new big one, in the last weeks I had not enough free time, I was almost all day in hospital, thats why I didn't compiled drivers for a long time, most of the time I am from my mobile phone and tapatalk, and without pc, now my father is a lot better, tomorrow we will leave hospital, but now, I will go to my father's town to help him. And in his town , I have no pc.
So when I will return to normal life, for sure that I will try to compile drivers for people again. But time is required to make this, more time searching in the net for valid sources that time compiling.
                      Patience.
I will advice here when I return normal life.
                      Thanks for understanding.

I agree. I have experience in compiling drivers for other processors (IMX21, BeagleBone and others) but for a "pure" Linux, not for "Android Linux" version. I believe it is much easier because I have access to the manufacturer toolchain.

I intend to venture to do the same for the "Android Linux" version soon.

Thanks. Before join here my experience is like a "Linux user", maybe medium-advanced, and a fan of gentoo when optimizations in kernel was a great difference in performance, but I love to learn, I really think that everyone that have some Linux experience and want to learn, can compile his own drivers. And I will love to teach the little I know. I tried to explain how compile the kernel, it can be explained step by step, but compile drivers is more difficult and I dint know how to explain that, it is a mix of intuitive and a lot of search on the net. Only this, and if someone have some free time and want to try to do it, I will be happy to hekp if I can.

If you have a Linux machine only follow my thread how to compile your own kernel, download my sources for my github (they are designed for qx1, but it works to compile drivers, any modules compiled for qx1 will work in your device, except wifi and some more related to specific hardware in qx1) and then you can choose:
make arch=arm menuconfig, and select like module any driver included in the kernel sources.

                            Hi Leolas,

I flashed your CWM version of finless 1.7, do you have by chance compiled isofs.ko, udf.ko and crc-itu-t.ko for the kernel that comes with that ROM (guess 3.0.8) obviously rk3066?

I have a Slim DVD LG rewriter GP08NU6B and an ample collection of mkvs and avis burned on DVDs, but I haven't managed to mount this drive despite searching and searching, I don't know if it needs specific drivers, but in LG's website there isn't drivers even for Windows... But it seems to work fine on Linux: http://linuxhcl.com/browse/product?id=7881

Somebody made a good tool for mounting optical drives for the Toshiba Thrive tablet here:
