I also own a webcam trust: 093:2468 without mic than a 352x288 resolution low power.

You could fill gspca_pac207 (kernel omagamoon pac207.c)?
One last thing, reading the contents of the file. C in the kernel I see that they need the v4l2, you must complete these? or default there are (I ask because if I remember correctly I read V4l1)
    CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L2_COMMON=y

The webcam is recognized, is assigned to the device driver sonixj usb_otg (webcam) and is assigned to / dev/video0, but I can not use it for now, I have also tried:
    ls-l / dev/video0
    chmod 666 / dev/video0
is associated with : camera 81

I hope you can give it a try and see if the v4l2 driver are already filled or are required.

Thanks in advance for the support they are giving us.
In my .config file i have the line:
    Code:
    CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L2=y
In both sources omegamoon and andrewDB i have the same line: V4L2

ok, so the problem must be relative to the native resolution of my webcam or related to it.

I can only try another webcam in my possession with low resolution 352x288 which absorbs only max 0.2 A.
But I need the module "gspca_pac207", when you have time if you'll fill it another try.

Meanwhile I'm looking for something useful for network configuration module gspca (the limit to edit the corresponding file. C before compilation).
EDIT: I find that for same app (skype etc...) you must use v4l1 (1st version) but the driver is v4l2and they are not compatible (under Linux...) you have to install libv4l-0 via apt-get and typing : LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so nameapp (ex: skype).
With Ubuntu I use v4l1compat and LD_Preload for skype, but with Android v4l1 library i dont find it in the kernel omegamoon....
http://o2droid.phj.hu/trac/browser/k...mpat.c?rev=187 but this file .c is in 2.6.32 kernel..

Thanks in advance for your commitment.

In Linux things are easier than android, a lot of documentation in linux, less in android. I am using now new sources released by Alok yesterday, and trying to compile with this sources, so new ko files to test will arrive soon. I am having some problems with them, but i expect advances soon.

Actually none of the modules compiled works , but I am trying to do it, testing different sources, and making some modifications, i will post here when I get success. And then you can ask about compiling new modules.

Maybe you could rebuild one of the drivers that are known to work, like the rtl8192cu.ko module I used here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...b-wifi-adapter (and I could even test it for you with my usb adapter if needed). Note: if you follow the link in the thread you'll see the person who made the drivers also had a slight issue which they fixed.

Would be good if you do figure where the problem is as I would love to see NFS modules.

I am making a basic guide about how compile kernels and drivers, and it is taking a lot of my time now, when I finish it, I will try to compile drivers again.

I or you can try to compile the drivers but how make it works is other theme, Bt is hard to make them work in our sticks, wifi dongles too that is cause I left compile drivers, cause if the module itself works the system cant recognize the new devices and made it work in the most situations.

                          leolas,
Any chance of the easycap dc60 linux driver working in android? I'd love to be able to record live tv to an external usb hdd. Here's the driver installation instructions for linux:
The informations about the STK1160 based EasyCAP DC60 have a new home: http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Stk1160 I've put together all ...

I put it in a folder and compressed it as a .zip because the .gz wasn't allowed as an attachment.

                          Thanks!

No hurry. I really appreciate that you are willing to do this! Even if we can get the driver working, I'll still have to figure out some kind of viewing/recording app to make use of it. I hope at first to try to point the camera app to the DC60 output and use that to record. Later I'd like to try to work out something that can be set to record automatically. If it works, hopefully people will find it useful to be able to use their Android device as a DVR. I should probably start a thread to see if recording from TV is something people would be interested in.
                              Thanks,
                              Tony

                                HG20F9 USB2.0-to-LAN Adapter

                                Hi Leolas,
maybe you can try to compile the attached Linux driver for USB2.0-to-LAN adapters using the HG20F9 chipset. The good thing about this adapter is, that it is a real USB 2.0 device, so data rates of 100Mbps with 100-BASE-T are possible in contrast to most other cheap adapters that only support USB1.1.
Unfortunately, there is no Android driver available so far.
                                Thanks,
                                Markus
