    Interesting. Download it now.

I will have a look this week and maybe do a 1.3 ROM.

Thanks for passing on the info!

NP! i founded info on their FB pages.

but, bob, i have one question for you - is there any tutorial, manual for editing those images? the most what i found is doing with virtual machine, and for all my years doing with computers, i didn't make any linux image working in windows host OS.

for example, let's say, i want to change some apps and remove some apps from your's image. only if that is not "top secret mission", is there way that i do that without risk to brick my device? i know, i can do that trough uninstall-install one by one after flashing, but that take time.
or, change boot animation to standard? things like that.

i gave up from dvb-t, as there is no way, or i didn't find it to implement drivers for stick. i saw few days ago that pinnacle systems maked their receiver, works on all devices but only with their app.

so, i want to do some minor changes. so - how? can i do or it is more complicated than old, 2.x customizing.

      thx!

Re: NEW - UPDATED - Minix Neo X5 Finless Custom ROM 1.2b

This is the more easy part, only need to search your custom bootanimation.zip and copy it to /system/media/ and give the zip file the correct permissions rw- r-- r--

Dude, you can't be serious is the start up animation (that you can replace your self) seriously the most important thing on your mind?

You cant mod ROMs without Linux. Windows does not support the file permissions that Android needs.

yes, yes i know that. but i say that i do not know how to make working and stabile virtual linux on win host. i have another linux only pc, so that is not problem.

but, before i start reading that link you send me - just one direction, suggestion please:

when i mount and open "system.img" in linux, and after i do changes (i repeat, that is nothing speciall, few apps plus-minus), how i save that changed image? or by simple unmounting that image stays changed? and simply copy back to windows pc and start flash process?
before, in older versions of android, after change i must sign that files. what about here?

Thats great news,I was going to ask if you would make a new x5 rom. Minix is still adding in extras and I am happy with your 1.2b but would like to have the upgrades and 5.1 sound. Thanks Finless

I know how to change the bootanimation.zip. The ROM is awesome but not this graphic that runs for >2mins. It brings down the product. Just me, sorry.
Just wonder how many of you prefer this animation.

The changes are saved when you umount the fs.
