Been waiting for this little box I feel it may have some potential in education and presentation environment.
Not sure the Idea of Android and Win8 on the one box with only 32gb is a good move
But there are ways to make it suit your needs.
So what we have is
- Model: X8
- Color: Black
- System: Android 4.4/Windows 8.1 with Bing
- GPU: Intel HD Graphic
- CPU: Intel HD Graphics Baytrail T Z3736F
- Core: Quad Core
- RAM: 2G ROM: 32G
- Max. Extended Capacity: 64G
Bluetooth: Bluetooth 4.0
Power Supply: Charge Adapter
Interface: Micro USB, SD Card Slot, HDMI, LAN
Plugged in HDMI to my 32in Sony, powered the PIPO X8 both screen activated away we went.
Greeted with the WIN/Android logo, plugged in My k400r Logitech and clicked into Windows
Good install asked for region info so the OBE has been done right.
Logged into my MS account and continued with the set up so all looking good.
60 Windows updates later over Wifi, speed looking good.
Also installed my usual programs to get the feel correct.
At present I am finding the PIPO X8 performs just as well as most of the other Intel boxes I have tested to date
and no real noticeable difference in Wifi speeds and over all operation/performance of the unit.
Inside the unit it is pretty much a PIPO X7 except for the obvious bits needed for screen etc.
They have not added any heat sinks to the top of the cpu/ram cover plate just the usual thin pad.
But
Looks like they have been reading around Freaktab as they have added a Thermal Pad to the underside.
It's sandwiched between the PCB and the base what a good idea.
A grey colour no idea of its Thermal resistance, the base is warm so must be doing something.
More test on this over the next few days.

So that's the first on this little beasty.
The Screen on the PIPO X8 is small but usable like most of these 7 inch (178mm) units
Even my failing eyes can navigate around pretty good but the fat finger can be a problem some pointing devise will overcome this.
I have not used Windows 8 in a true tablet environment before so this will be interesting to see how it all works out.
Running 1280 x 800 duplicate display On my Sony I can get full screen top and bottom and black edge 40mm each side
Other modes Extend and show on One monitor do use the full 1920 x 1080
So more to come on this Wedged shape tablet or Media player with a screen.
Thanks

Price: $103.89.
