No GPU 2D/3D acceleration in Ubuntu, so menus & the whole Ubuntu OS is slow. This wasn't the case on RK3288 as there was Mali GPU drivers from ARM available but Imagination Technologies really have to do something about it or no one is going to use their GPU chips anymore.

Hopefully MAC_L1 can bring hardware accelerated video to RK3368 like he did for RK3288.
Finally got both the suckers (GPU and VPU) running for me on linux!
Took some time to crack the protection measures that were built in the gpu libs by Imagination Technologies - ba*****s!

Will release machybris and mackodi soon...

Hi, just received my Geekbox yesterday. First of all I want to say "well done!" to the Geekbox team, this is a very well put together product and all of the open source work behind it is excellent.

But I was disappointed to find that it's still shipping with all 32 bit software, not 64. I also bought a Ugoos UT4 and the situation is the same there. Why are these not using 64 bit Android by default? Will there be a true 64 bit image released soon? Are there any drivers missing that would prevent us from building our own?

Hello endera, I have seen it mentioned, that 32bit is kept for app compatibility. I don't know if that is a reason or just an excuse. Time will tell.

It's for better app compatibility in Android L.
Will release 64bit on Android M.

I gave my feedback on the MM ROM a couple of weeks ago.

Ill download terrys and test. Sounds like gpu support may be coming as well as few other fixes. Ive been testing in wifi only so ill try network today. Have to watch the commits and see if it happens. This device faster then any other 3368 ive tested. Today i put into landing ship and test led for box so i test firmware later.
