To make working the wifi first you need to know your wifi module
you need to open the box and check the wifi, the correct number
Now search the number with this format
xxxxus.ko
Xxxx is the number on your wifi
now just copy that on a USB Use a explorer, could be esexplorer
Locate system/bin/
There should be files with ko ko
One is 8189us.ko
Change it with the one that you look for your wifi and rename it with 8189us.ko
So if your file is 8185de.ko will be set at 8189us.ko to copy on system/lib on the box

thank you - i tried the location and little success as the links didnt wok. I presume there is an existing conf file i need to modify to point it to the updated wifi.ko file i managed to upload? any ideas where the wifi conf file is in Android or if you have one on your working device could you upload and advise folder to put it in please? many thanks again!

ok - this was very helpful and I uploaded the correct Wifi module driver there - good news! challenge is updating the conf file somewhere to tell the device to use that driver to enable wifi - any thoughts please?

My box is m8s+ model, I guess 2 gb ram,8gb
i tried that, unfortunatelly it doesntr work, stucks at 3% and some error, like bad rom or something...

OK - thank you very much: so good news is using Cache site i got 2.16 burning tool and updated using the ROM - but wifi still didnt work. In Lib folder the file there is 8189es.ko - this doesnt work, nor does renaming the one downloaded either.

I guess my question remains: where is the conf file that denotes the wifi driver to use in system? onboard hardware is 8188:
