    Hi tjay78,

I had to make a couple of 1080p x265 based files to test with With the latest release of LE (7.0.1.2), they play back as expected.

    Howdy All,

New LibreELEC build base on kszaq 's latest release (7.0.1.2) has been uploaded - I've made a few minor tweaks to my patches, & have included the latest kodi 16 patches.

    Cheers!

    Hi guys!

I dont know if it has been already asked, i searched and answer for my problem and couldnt find it here yet.
i have a tronsmart mx3 2gb s802. i have tried all versions of oe 6.95\7 from the link at the 1st page. after kodi boots up i get a blank screen (sometimes its black, sometimes blue)
is there anything i can do to fix it?
i also have a generic mx3 1gb s802 which i have installed the 6.95.1 and it is working pretty good, but not on the 2gb version.

if you upgrade from openelec builds to librelec ones, don't forget that the root password will change from openelec to libreelec
Took me some minutes to realize that was the reason i couldn't login to ssh anymore :-)

Is there any way to change the remote control to a remote which has more buttons, like the MX2 remote.
I once asked this for the m8 device and got a remote.conf file, which did not work, (I no longer have the M8 (s802) device).

    Explanation:
I use a harmony 650 remote, and in it I can do a lot, I also have the MX2 settings in it which have MORE buttons, so I can map them nicely.
The things is that I would like to somehow do a map (in kodi or OE/Libreelec) for more buttons on a new remote.

    Can this be done elegantly?

I have 5 devices at home, with the remote (and 2 at friends house) which would benefit from this.

in short I need a way to configure a new remote once, and then be able to place the file on the OE/LE device.
    Thanks

That's exactly how I do it. But the installation never starts unless I hold down power button until I see android logo. Just holding toothpick does nothing and causes my tv to lose signal from the box after the Tronsmart logo. But it's all good. I don't mind having to hold power as long as it all works in the end.

Are you able to access the sdcard once OE is running? This looks like a problem with the recovery version installed on your box - I've only seen this type of problem when the device concerned has the incorrect recovery installed on it/and or a dodgy sdcard (hit this a bit when trying to use twrp on these boxes in the past).
Yes, the card works fine once kodi is up and running. Its just the recover/bios menu that doesnt see it. But im able to install OE or LE just by doing the toothpick method. I just didnt realize i had to HOLD down the power button while holding toothpick. I was just clicking power button before. Now i just hold it til i see android logo and LE installs automatically. If thats how its supposed to work then thats fine. I just thought I would be able to also select the update file from the recovery menu as a second option.

Interesting that the LEDS are the only thing not working as expected - Unfortunately the LED toggling is very much kernel/build specific (It's part of the poweron/poweroff patch itself for the MX3G - While it would be easy enough to change this for the S806, it would then break the LEDS for the MX3G.

I'll give this some more thought...
    Hi Wilro,

Please don't spend much time on this - it was just an observation. I tried installing your MX3G rom on my CX-S806 just for fun and was amazed at how everything worked so smoothly. I was hoping there would be a setting somewhere which I could change. I don't want anything breaking on the MX3G rom - it's nigh on perfect!!

    Thanks for your time!

Tried a few times then all of a sudden booting up with toothpick just showed the android logo and boom. OE v6 was installed. Im really confused by how this happened, and I cant reproduce it.

Why wont the recovery console let me access my sd card to update OE to v7?
    Hi Charbs
had the same problem, actually the device boots, my workaround: just unplug and re-insert the hdmi cable when the tronsmart logo disappers and the screen turns black......

What controls the led colours (on, off, standby) for a tv box? Is it the kernel or the system partition - if it's the system, do you know where it can be changed?

I have used your great rom on CX-S806 device and it works flawlessly - apart from the colours being the wrong way round - blue when it should be red and vice versa.

If it's something that can be done quickly, great, otherwise it's fine to be the wrong way round as everything else works 100%.

Many thanks for any assistance you can provide.
