I'm keen to get the speed advantage from the ext 4 fs mods as in Fineless' ROMs. Is that already in the version 4 of Sowa's? Thanks.
non skinned is fine(my current rom) ext4 is in v4 roms too...

You need to dismantle the rom into the separate image files. Then mount the system.img in linux. Then you can play with the files inside.

Looking around the forum you'll find a how to on it.

Word of warning, things can go wrong. I have tried adding into the image file and the apks installed but would not run. Maybe Bob will write a how to for adding and removing when he get the chance.

As stated on the first post this will not work with the resistive screen version. You will mee to go to the arnova website and download the firmware from them and flash backto stock.

That's not possible as Arnova have NO 8 G2 Firmwares at all on their site and asking for one is like getting blood from a stone...

I stand corrected, could we not talk to archos? If arnova is a sister company of archos do you think they could put some pressure to get the firmware or course released?

Put it this way. I know for fact the service center has all the ROMs for Arnova.

This is the Archos Service Center in the US.
                  Our toll-free number is: 630-579-3526

                  10am- 6pm CST (Saturday

I know 2 people now that bricked thier tablet for which Arnova has no ROM downloads for. They sent it in and it came back reflashed with the proper ROM.
                  So they have it.

"Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
"Oprosti im, jer ne znaju što čine"

I have got a cheap £0.85 Bluetooth from hong kong ( now gone up to £1.01 ) to work and a Bluetooth GPS on Sowa's 5.0sRC
