    NEW! Minix U1 EZ root ZIP method

    Hey folks.... been a while aye?

    So I got a Minix U1 and wanted to make a EZ root for you guys.
    Let me tell you... learning to root via a ZIP file Lillipop was a MAJOR pain in the BUTT!!!!
    Lillipop is very different than KitKat was.

    So a Donation is appreciated if you like

    This is a full proper root including fixing processes!
    When you run the SU app for the first time you it will not have to update the SU binary which is unlike other root tools out there for the S905.

    On with the show.....
    Download the link below.

    Unzip the file and put the 3 files on a SDcard.
    ezroot.zip
    recovery.img
    factory_update_param.aml

    Insert the SDcard into your Minix U1
    unplug the power, wait 3 seconds and plug it back in.

    Now this is the important part. We need to boot the recovery you put on SDcard not the internal recovery or the ezroot.zip will fail signature.

    Press and hold the power button. KEEP HOLDING the power button until you see the Android man updating.
    Release the power button.

    The U1 will reboot and your done!

    Enjoy the perfect root

    Can also Confirm this ezroot works on Tronsmart Vega S95 Telos

    Copy the 3 files from the extracted downloaded .zip to SD
    In My Apps run UPDATE&BACKUP
    Local update Click on Select, Scanning will locate and click on ezroot.zip.
    Sit back relax
    Unit will Reboot.
    Flash
    Reboot
    Done.

          Hi Finless,
          Thank you for your great job,i rooted my new Minix u1 by this method without any problems,but i have problem with Viper4android and XMBC also.
          Viper working well in the system ( ex. music,mp3) but dosnt want in XMBC/KODI.
          I never got a promt with requesting of SU,so there in the superSU no XMBC log and Viper4android also,but after used Fix Permission from google store Viper start working in the system only.
          Can help me and give some advice how to fix please.
          BTW: i use SuperSU Pro and BusyBos Pro iswell.
          Latest version of Viper4android with support android 5.0 was working well on my previous android 5.1.1 tronsmart box.

            XBMC is not asking for root then if there is no SU request. Not sure I can help here.

              I reflashed the system again( fw04) and rooted Minix using your method,updated SuperSU to the latest version,instal Viper4android and XMBC then.Viper got a SU permission ( log in SuperSU ) and start working but still in the system only.There is no any effects in XMBC or KODI.
              What do you think? Maybe it depends on official full permission rights from Minix and i have to wait for any fix in the next FW release.

                Good morning Bob, I have a poster over at the Minix forums looking to unroot his U1. Just wondering if you had a chance to make the zip? In no way am I asking for an ETA or trying to rush you, just curious. Thanks

                  Yes I will have something this week.
                  But as you know he can always just reflash the ROM but I suppose he wants to keep his data?

                      Yup patiently waiting for that unroot to update to FW004 and then root again. Or maybe by then Finless with drop the U1 killer ROM!!!!!!

                        Has anyone found or heard of an unroot method? I'm trying to get my PS3 controller connected and it needs root access but I still wanna update firmware and not lose all my data/settings.

                            Super!Is there any chance for fix ( full permission right ) for ViperFX which not working in XMBC -in your custom rom?
