    SD card?

Maybe if I put a factory update on a microsd card, the device would flash it at boot? That might get me somewhere again.

I´m having some issues getting the script working to change my resolution/refresh rate at startup... I edited it so it would default me to 1280x720p at 50hz but it seems as though nothing ever happens. When I change res with ADB it happens, so that tells me the script hadn´t done it yet. Any pointers?

        Last Ditch

Well, my last hope for resurrecting my looping MK908 would be the equivalent of an NV Flash on a reluctant tablet - a Nandroid as some call it.

        Is there such a thing?

          libstagefright.so

During my tests, I noticed some artifacts was once perceived as the old libstagefright.so. Will these ROMs has not yet been updated to the new version?

BOOYAKASHA Tronsmart! - Back to Alpha Test 1.6

Well, I did it. Opened my case, found two likely looking pins on the Nand, shorted them and - voila - end of bootloop.

Reflashed Alpha test and am now reinstalling apps.

My thanks to the one or two kind souls who sympathized - Moulin1980 in particular.
Hoabycsr, I forgive your kernel. I should have thought twice about it.

I have flashed about 70 kernels that I´ve made to this device in the past week or so... never have I ever had the issue you described on any of my 3066´s or 3188´s... Sorry though if somehow my kernel messed something up for you... hasn´t happened to me yet and I´m constantly rebuilding it and reflashing...

Whatever did happen - I was responsible. I decided to experiment, despite having had the device less than a week and not knowing it well. I could have left well enough alone..but I didn't.

I look forward to having some choices when your kernel is in beta.

I downloaded the resolution script from the first page and whenever I try to unzip it, it says its corrupt or nothing to unzip. So I tried changing the mode script manually and It did change to 1920x1080p but the resolution has not I am absolutely loving this rom , Netflix is without doubt the best and I have tried all the rest. Yes it has a slight stutter although still much better than anything I used before, but its so so stable not one freeze not one spaz out where it goes back to the title screen and always sound and vision not just sound or vision . Im proper impressed. Nice one Bob !
And my vpn works now which is a huge bonus.

I just need to change this resolution because bits of the screen are missing.

T428 ALPHA TEST ROM - flash to MK809III?

Will this rom work on a MK809III? Would it need to be used along with a known working MK809III kernel?

I've tried this alpha version and it did not solve frameskipping in MX player for me. I'm using a 720p mkv file which plays absolutely smooth on my MK802iii but it stutters during panning shots.

I've tried all the different firmwares I could find for the T428, none of them had smooth video playback.

Additionally my Logitech C510 usb cam doesn't work on the T428 using any firmware I tried.

I hope this all gets solved one day. Till then I'll have to keep using my mk802iii using Bob's excellent 1.7 2dark4u firmware.

Setting the display to 50hz instead of 60hz does seem to improve the smoothness a bit.

Great Work. Although for final release I'd prefer:
                            • No Boot Sound Please (Annoying) This isn't Windows Booting
                            • Use Old Android UI from Finless 1.4a Android 4.2.2
                            • [Add] Screen Shot in Status Bar [Screen shot from my Galaxy Note 2] See Bottom*
                            • [Add] Choice for 720p Kernel(with Frame Skip Fix) or 1080p Kernel in Rom Flash Tool of course
                            • [Add] Nova Launcher as Default Launcher Much Cleaner
                            • [Add] Not for this release but maybe Future Release "Samsung Multi Window Manager" See Bottom*
                            Pros
                            • 5GHz works great I want to say better than any of the other previous roms I've tried but that would be an understatement 1080p youtube no freezing to buffer and torrents fly. Thanks
                            • Antutu 16004
                            Cons
                            • Bluetooth works ok as well maybe 3 feet (don't feel like its reception though) seems like its not buffering because sometimes its clear at around 8 feet most times not and vice versa.
                            • I know its ported but the UI looks crazy and kinda buggy missing buttons.
                            • [My Opinion] 1080p is a waste of resources, device will/would bench higher on 720p Kernel
Notes: I will be using the word I maybe because I'm selfish but I have 720p monitors and despite advertisement for 1080p support, 720p has far better performance and even with 1080p monitors would you rather your device perform better? That being said I think both 720p and 1080p kernels should be supported for each stable release.
                            1. I can't seem to get the RK3XXX Mod Tool to work reply here.
                            2. I WILL Donate to someone who can teach me to mod kernels. Ultimately would like to get the 1.92 overclock fully supported for the Tronsmart T428 as well as some GPU Overclocking.

Screen Shot button on the bottom left

True Multi Window Support [Open As Many Windows As Ram Will Provide ]

seriously ... if the screen is black wait like 5 minutes to secure nand from getting corrupted if its still flashing then just unplug and boot recovery and you will see pc will find the device and you can flash back a working rom. monitor will not display until working rom is flashed back.

Finally had a chance to try this today along with the new strauzo kernel and it worked amazing!!!

Best i have seen yet. HOWEVER, my tv is pretty old now and has major scaling issues. If Bob could add the ability to resize the screen as in his other roms i think we have a winner. looking forward to an update on this (or any other finless roms )

                                thanks as always!
