It's probably final at this point but not a lot of feedback. So test if you like and let me know.

Hey Bob..have tested and I mainly use for Kodi. Seems to work fine, much better than the stock ROM. Memory is not great on this unit but looks like you have done the best you can with what the Pro offers. Could you pls release the final version, I assume it will be rooted also? Thanks in advance, great job as always.
One small thing I found after the fact was that the Android resolution seems to auto switch whether that option is turned off or not. Not sure if this would have anything to do with your ROM or it's simply my TV. Android automatically picks up my 4K TV, so I go in and alter to 720p-60z and turn off auto switch, if I reboot option is still off but resolution back to 4K.Last edited by u4icpsychopath; 14 March 2016, 00:23.

I use mainly for Kodi and I did not seem to have any memory issues. The Pro is what it is so you cannot make more memory than it has. I am much happier with the Pro using the Finless ROM compared to the stock ROM. I have not tried the new March 9 ROM but doubt it will be as good as this. Just waiting for Bob to issue the final rooted version for the Pro. Hope that helps. If you try the new stock ROM let us know.
I plan to release a new ROM based on the March 9th stock ROM. Stay tuned.

Model: Tronsmart Vega S95 Pro
Finless Version: 1.0
Test Environment
LAN: 1Gbit CAT6
NAS: QNAP TS-253 Pro 8GB mem
NAS: QNAP TS-112 256MB mem, 6TB HDD storing all videos and music.
Router: Linksys E4200v1 (TomatoUSB fw)
Router WiFi: 802.11n 2.4GHz 20/40Mhz
Tronsmart WiFi: 2.4GHz 65Mbits(Connection speed) 802.11n 20MHz
Tronsmart Ethernet: 1Gbit

WiFi Test
Media: 802.11n 2.4GHz 20MHz
Server: Tronsmart
Application: Google Play FTP Server
Client: QNAP TS-253 Pro
File: 150MB binary
Bandwidth Download: 55.76Mbits/sec
Bandwidth Upload: 47.68Mbits/sec
Source: Internal flash/SD card
Using a quality SD card (SanDisk Extreme) it makes no different when upload/downloading data over WiFi as the bandwidth is to low to make any difference between the SD card and Internal flash.
Ethernet 1Gbit Test
Media: 1Gbit Ethernet
Server: Tronsmart
Application: Google Play FTP Server
Client: QNAP TS-253 Pro
File: 150MB binary
Source: SD card
Bandwidth Download: 180.20Mbits/sec (SD card write 22.37MB/sec)

WiFi Streaming
Source: QNAP TS-112 NAS
Video: Blu-ray "The Martian" 32GB
Media Player: Kodi
Playback: buffering.
Buffering at 05:50min in (approx leaving the Hab in storm) and then again at 8min....
Ethernet streaming
Source: QNAP TS-112 NAS
Video: Blu-ray "The Martian" 32GB
Media Player: Kodi
Bandwidth used: 30Mbits/sec peaks (seen in Kodi cmd 'O')
Playback: OK
Streaming assumption
If you're using 65Mbits WiFi to stream Blu-ray and/or 4K, you may be in a resource hell that'll need some fine tuning in Kodi to work around.
There are options like advancesettings.xml in Kodi which may provide some benefits, if done correctly.
I have also seen the likes of TCP buffering also help in such situations.
Bluetooth
TDK A20 speakers worked well (Kodi audio offset required, normal stuff) with source over Ethernet using blu-ray "The Martian"
Memory
...sorry what was that? I forgot..Last edited by Dr Goodvibes; 17 March 2016, 05:08.

Using Finless 1.0 ROM Beta on Tronsmart Vega S95 Pro.
I am not able to see or restore the static notification bar at the top of the screen.
I am using Nova Launcher which has the option to display/hide the notification bar, but option does not display a notification bar.
It appears the notification bar has been "pushed" off the top of the screen.
I see 'one' white dot at the top right of the screen and a couple on the far left.
These dots are displayed or hidden depending on whether I enable the notification bar or disable it.
I can access the drag down notification and settings panel OK.
Update
Then I found the Return Notification Bar update which effectively resolves my issue.
Thank you Finless.
Now I guess we just wait for Tronsmart to release a working firmware upgrade with fixes... at their leisure...whenever they're ready...any time now....????Last edited by Dr Goodvibes; 13 April 2016, 05:14.
