    Hi All,

In theory, this is a fully working, rooted, complete firmware package (including all features listed above) for Z68:

    https://mega.nz/#!fpVX0I6S!I3PDi2rCr...QKe9tNmFY5a41I

Probably you need to wipe the storage before flashing! (It ensures that no junk remains in the empty spaces, which could make trouble if getting a call accidentally.) Use Android Tool to do that.

Please try it and feedback! I'm also curious whether HDMI HD audio passthrough is working or not! (In the KODI settings those options do appear.)

    Thanks, STZO

Update: please wait for the corrected and enhanced second edition. Until that time you may do that with just simply replacing this file in the system/vendor/lib directory:

Did you install heat sink? This reboot happens when device overheats! I had the same problem before I put the sink on! If no heat sink is available at home, just open the box, and try to do something...

As much as I would love to test this out, but without details about using the Android Tool it is difficult for me.
Is this the way to do it?
Select "Upgrade Firmware" tab. Click "Firmware", Select *.img file and then click "Upgrade". Is that all?

As soon as the software writes out that "one loader device found", your thougts are correct. Press reset button fist, kepp it pressed and connect the box to the computer. If proper driver is installed on the PC, the software will see the box.

When you want to flash components later separately, please carefully check that the address values are as follows (edit config if needed):

          0x00002000(uboot),0x00004000(trust),0x00006000(mis c),0x00008000(resource),0x00010000(kernel),0x00018 000(boot),0x00028000(recovery),0x00038000(backup), 0x00070000(cache),0x000B0000(kpanic),
          0x000B2000(system),0x003B2000(metadata),0x003BA000 (baseparamer),-@0x003BC000(userdata)

Save config file for further usage.

I found another good solution for Z68:

              - DTS and 5.1 Dolby Digital works via both HDMI and SPDIF
              - Wifi works (both 2,4 and 5GHz)
              - Bluetooth works
              - IR remote fully works
              - RED-BLUE LED works
              - Auto-framerate changing also works in KODI
              - Remote Power switch initiates deep sleep (0.2W! standby), and has it wake up too

HD audio: DTS-HD etc. I cannot test, I have no such amplifier. (Anyone could do it?)

              1. Install a heat sink onto the SoC
              2. Flash HPH_NT-V8_V1.2_by_mo123: http://www.mediafire.com/download/s6....2_by_mo123.7z
              3. Flash kernel image (extracted from Cyber_Light_Build_v0.1B; 14 240 908 bytes) from the link below
              4. Flash resource image from the link below (modified by me)
              5. Install Kernel Auditor, and set max. CPU clock to 1500MHz
              6. Please report the result!

Here are the files to be flashed over HPH-Nagrace 1.2 by mo123 ROM, zipped:

              https://mega.nz/#!7xkVxACL!L8WGRuP4T...OVmVVm2PyD1nvA

Unrooted, Android-only version of the above ROM (much smaller, no Linux): http://www.mediafire.com/download/tb...ly_by_mo123.7z I did not test yet, but based on it's internal content, it must work with the above patch too. Also mo123 published an application to make it rooted again: http://apidl.zidoo.tv/zidoo_x6%2FOnkeyRoot_1.0.6.apk, following the installation.

If anyone interests in a nice bootanimation (similar to the logo in the above configuration, but can be replaced in rooted firmware only), I'll post it for free.

              Have fun!
              Regards, STZO
              Thanks a lot, STZO!
The best combination i found is using the modded Zidoo 9r2 + the kernel and boot modules you provided + Bluetooth fix.
Wifi 5/2.4, Bluetooth, LAN, sleep(the processor is cool), remote works great. ROM runs smoothly and I'm getting ~33k in Antutu. Now the box is really enjoyable. The single thing it's missing is Xposed framework...

Fix for BT(I don't remember where I found it, so i just re uploaded it): https://mega.nz/#!XQBWhLCB!hIFL-PjLF...2B8BELzLSXe8FM

Yes i have 3 different heatsink. i was try "Android only"versiyon. Result: poor Wifi (Despite wearing WiFi antenna) and non-smooth experience.

Thanks. I download files. I'll try tonight. Z68 have good hardware but, very bad software and Wifi.
I think, S905 much better for video decode.

                    Hi,

I got 6/5 Mbps wifi speed at 5GHz with the built-in antenna, a bit higher than the half of it at 2,4 GHz. Box is located 6 meters from a Fritzbox router (much lower field strength than of some Chinese ones), through one thin wall. LAN speed is 22/20 Mbps with my combination. Antutu benchmark shows around 35000 with the cpu clock set to 1500MHz with Kernel Auditor. Speed is actually the same as of Tronsmart R68 Meta with Tronzid 8.3 ROM. Working experience is very fast and smooth to me. I'm sorry why you cannot reproduce it.

This wifi module (AP6330) can establish only 65Mbps connection speed, that I can really see in the "WiFi_Speed_Test_2.3.2" software. The real communication speed will never be faster than this 6Mbps, I think, maybe only close to the router. Rare to find wifi antenna that delivers high gain for both 2,4 and 5 GHz, most of them are designed for single range only. The built-in one is probably for 5GHz only, but is able to work (poorly) at 2,4 too.

Did the random reboot gone with the Android only version? (I have the combined version installed, that one is also free from reboots, I use it for weeks already.) Reboots completely gone following the heat sink installed. My heat sink temperature is around or lower than 50 C when playing movies (open box).

I'm sure that neither S905 will provide better performance, unless that's wifi does.

                    Regards, STZO

                      Hi Vilen77,

In the above post I described some other results with my system, which are similar to your ones. Actually, any combination you choose, just should satisfied with it, that's the most important thing.

I tried TronZid 8.3 first, but got no audio passthrough, neither the options appeared in KODI. (By lonix, I should have gotten, no explanation why not.) IR remore worked partly, but not all buttons. The first ROM which provided the passthrough feature was HPH-Nagrace by mo123, but no remote at all, and wifi and Bluetooth had to be patched. Replacing the kernel, I got wifi and Bluetooth back without patches, and got the deep sleep standby (you can check it with the Kernel Auditor). Remote still didn't work. Then I figured out where the IR remore functions are integrated into the ROM, and modified it according to the original firmware. That brought the IR remote functions back completely. One thing remained problematic: when select Power off from the Android menu, it will not sleep, and you must power off and on again (reboot) to have it recovered. I'll correct it soon, I hope so.

                      With Tronzid 9.2 kernel I experienced a Green-Pink problem.

                      Best regards, STZO

Maybe I forgot to change libbt_vendor.so file in the package, I'll check it tomorrow and repair it if needed. Until that time here is the right one (from the original Z68 firmware):

If Bluetooth doesn't work with the install package, just simply replace the file in the system/vendor/lib directory.

On my box, LAN and WiFi speed is the best I've seen so far. The speed with the original firmware was about 25% less than i can get with this combo.. .I don't have hardware to test the HD Audio but i have audio output from my monitor (stereo). One more thing... I don't use the original remote (prefer to use an air mouse), but i tested it today and all buttons work, except Mute - it's pulling the Recent Apps screen.

Mute and menu butons are interchanged in some IR controllers, e.g. my Tronsmart remote makes Z68 muted with the menu button, while swithes to the "background" screen with the other one. It seems to me that some buttons are handled by the Android system, while others by the hardware itself. I set the hardware items in the resource file, did not take care about the others. Nagrace fw keeps the buttons in position, however.
Otherwise, audio passthrough is an important feature if you want to enjoy multichannel audio. My main problem with any other firmware was this missing function. Can you see the passthrough options (enable passthrough, DTS compatible receiver etc) in KODI seettings? If you cannot see these options, you will get stereo sound only, for sure! I see the options, just cannot test them due to the misiing audio amplifier.
