    STZO,

Yes, there is an option "Enable passthrough" in the Settings/Audio. It can be set/unset. I'm using ZDMC.

When you want to flash components later separately, please carefully check that the address values are as follows (edit config if needed):

      0x00002000(uboot),0x00004000(trust),0x00006000(mis c),0x00008000(resource),0x00010000(kernel),0x00018 000(boot),0x00028000(recovery),0x00038000(backup), 0x00070000(cache),0x000B0000(kpanic),
      0x000B2000(system),0x003B2000(metadata),0x003BA000 (baseparamer),-@0x003BC000(userdata)

Save config file for further usage.

I did some amount of reading on how to flash using Rockchip Android Tool. There is still some amount of confusion.
Do I click "Erase Flash" before using "Upgrade" in the "Upgrade Firmware" tab when flashing update.img (for example flashing HPH_NT-V8_V1.2_by_mo123)?
All the information in the "Download Image" tab is obtained from the config.cfg file. I was not able to find any documentation on how to edit this binary config.cfg file.

Hi guys, upgrade firmware on my z68 - it's OK, but when I start to flash the kernel -error 'Load firmware failed', what is the problem?

Thanks, it's good to know, I did not see them when tested tronzid 8.3 on this box.

            Hi,
You can edit the config directly in the android tool, and then click on the mouse right button, and select "export config" from the menu and save the file. The same way you are able to import (open) any new config file. Editing it with a text editor will make bad result.
            Open firmware (e.g. update.img)>connect box>erase flash>upgrade; that's the right order.
When flashing separate images, check the the box only in the row that you want to flash, check the address value, then select the file (or copy it into the right directory) and press Run.
            Regards, STZO

Used Batch Tools, AndroidTools - no one of this not working. So, I recompiled firmware by RK3xxx firmware tools version 5.99.07.00. I used Modded Zidoo 9r2 + (kernel Cyber_Light_Build_v0.1B + Flash resource) from Stzo + fix BT from Vilen77.
The passthrough is work, checked it on my Denon.
Autoframerate: something work)), but when I playing video 24p - my TV does not show that is it. Just does show 60p. For example, my Dune 101 does show all of them.
Caught the bug - turn off in standby and 20 min later the blue led began flashing, box was very hot, 70-80 C, i think, alsough i use the radiator on the chip.
The firmware is cool, much better than the first, thanks to Stzo, Vilen77 and all of involved. Sorry for my English.

Can you upload the bundled firmware, it would be helpful.

                        Hi lokitima,

Thanks for the report! Please check the CPU clocks with the Kernel Auditor, that might help to discover the reason of the overheating.
Poverony tool is great. Yo can repack everything. Did you check DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 sounds too?

I also found a bug in my package, Bluetooth does not work with that. Also achieved some enhancement in the wifi speed, now 2,4 and 5GHz performs roughly the same. I'll post a corrected version soon.
                        Regards, STZO

                          Hi ontherocks,

Did you flash the patches (kernel, resource, libbt_vendor, Krnel auditor) too? did you get real sleep? When sleeping, the box must be completely cold.
How hot the device is? It shouldn't heat up above 40 degree C even it's working for hours. If you can mesure the power consumption, that could be between 2-3W in general, up to 6W during transient processes.

Whatever you had mentioned in your post, I had done, i.e. patch kernel and resource and user kernel auditor to modify clock frequency.
How do I get the box to go to sleep? By power off?
Is there any app to measure temperature and power consumption?
The power adapter is 3W, yet this could consume more power than that?

In theory, this is a fully working, rooted, complete firmware package (including all features listed above) for Z68:

                              https://mega.nz/#!fpVX0I6S!I3PDi2rCr...QKe9tNmFY5a41I

Probably you need to wipe the storage before flashing! (It ensures that no junk remains in the empty spaces, which could make trouble if getting a call accidentally.) Use Android Tool to do that.

Please try it and feedback! I'm also curious whether HDMI HD audio passthrough is working or not! (In the KODI settings those options do appear.)

                              Thanks, STZO

Update: please wait for the corrected and enhanced second edition. Until that time you may do that with just simply replacing this file in the system/vendor/lib directory:

                              https://mega.nz/#!b4dGQIaJ!a2evNh-yh...oFo5MW91Os1bSY

i dont see hdmi pass through in ntmc -> system -> settings -> system -> audio output.

when enabling audio dsp processing , its asking for plugins.
worked after installing beast theme from ares.

                                Hi,

Power supply - as I remember - is 5V 2A, it can deliver 10W. Power button on the IR remote should turn it into sleep. It's only done, when all processes are finished after boot. It may take some minutes. If you press the button earlier, it will not sleep. Sleep state - if any - you can see in Kernel Auditor Frequency Table. If no sleeping happened before you start it, deep sleep will be shown as not used frequency.
Temperature you can easily feel by your hand. Power consumption only with a special measuring device. Most simple ones can be bought for approx. $10. Power off doesn't work from the android screen, however!
I made mistake with the chip ID, will correct it in the next release.
