Re: Pipo M8 Pro General discussion
I'm sure that if you contact them and explain, they'll pack it good for you. The original box has no padding in top, so it seems most sellers repack this item in some way. Mine came in an air-filled "sleeve" - I could probably ship it in just a pape envelope safely with that.Support your local flasher

yes, probably is key word!
they can, but how will it arrive... but there is no sense to destroy original box/package and repack it somehow that they mean it is ok. from pandawill, all ordered untill now, was arrived in original boxes. i hope this will be the same. and if it is packed even in two boxes, as m9 is...
so, now i can only wait...

If the seller think it is very likely to get damaged or broken during shipping in original box, then some/most will repack that unit as standard. And if the manufacturer supplied the unit in packaging that is unlikely to survive and protect its contents - it is only reasonable to repack it.Support your local flasher

Hi,
about Geekbuying, I ordered my pipo m8 pro from them, the packaging was a huge envelope made of air tubes, I could drop it from 3 meters without damage (I think)...
Inside they put a cheap european adaptator (nice from them)... but it was already broken.
The Pipo box was mint, but the pipo accessory box a bit squashed - but everything's working.
ProxZen, about your faulty power button, there should be a clickable contact underneath it. The metalic button does not seem attached to the device : it sits between the case and the motherboard.
and it raises from 1 mm from the outside of the case.

Re: Pipo M8 Pro General discussion
Well, that explains some things. Either that clickable button (microswitch?) was never installed, or it came undone during assembly. I expect it was placed between the silver plastic button and the circuitboard...?
The two holes in the circuit board, closest to the button - is there any visible pins, solder or component there? Because on my tablet, these were blank/empty.Last edited by pr0xZen; 10 June 2013, 15:55.Support your local flasher

*bump* Could anyone report experiences with running the battery low? I've read reports that some have experienced that the tablet wouldn't boot up again after running it empty (tablet powers off by itself). The batteries were tested, and it looks like they charge up again fine - the tablet just won't boot.Support your local flasher

Re: Pipo M8 Pro General discussion
I ran mine down all the way one time...but after charging it came back up.
Right now I am noticing a fluctuation in screen brightness.

Re: Pipo M8 Pro General discussion
I guess this is borderline commercial, but I would like to share a tip on a keyboard app I came over. Its a fully customizeable transparent keyboard. Button form, size, design, lettering, colors, positioning and translucency is cistomizable. It also offers split keyboard in landscape mode. As of now it only supports english letters, but more language support and auto-correct is coming.
I'm not afiliated with the app or the developers, just a satisfied user. My current configuration is demonstrated below as an example:

if topic is not dead... question... my first m8pro arrived, and i sold it as-is. even didin't power it on. i was concerned about charging/battery problem.
now, dealer in croatia announced m8pro model, of course for 1/3 price higher than from china, and now i have again doubt what about that charging problem?
is it solved, is, at least, somebody gave real reason what is going on?
i'm reading on other forum that there were problems with wrong power adaptters instread 5V, they send 9v, and THAT triggered power circuit protection which locked tablet. somebody says that 2.5A is too much, better to use 2A....
so, what i read more, i know less. is there ANY solution?
thx!
