Based on above instructions, I created mmallow box image and flashed but the AppStore app is missing. I used lunch rk3368_box-userdebug configuration. Do I need to do special configuration to compile the code? Please guide me.

I upgraded MMALLOW image into the Geekbox. I downloaded .apk files and installed it but not able to open and it is not showing in location where all apps are located. Does Geekbox supports only pre-installed apps?

Sorry for the late reply ..

Yes, you can install .apk files as well.
Maybe you have to allow "install from unknown sources" first.

Dont understand your question ... the installed apk will be installed into /data/ folder like all the other apps too.

In /system/preinstalled are the preinstalled system-apps.. But the installation of those apps and all the related files are moving into /data/ partiton too.
system partition is normally read-only !

          Hope this helps ..

          Cheers

                  Indeed

Even they would release geekbox 2 with top hardware - not sure if it's the right choice anymore.

Hmmmm maybe we should grab some firmware and reload it seems like links starting to expire and firmware disappeared from geeks site.

Sad to see the site get taken over by ad bots ect. To nad seemed like good project.

Yes it is a shame about the state of the continual spamming on the Geekbox forum as it will prevent people from getting at the useful information, which it turn could spell certain doom for interest in the product.

I did alert them to it a few days ago though, so hopefully they will simply remove everything at start afresh.

Here I am, asking for Followmsi's precious help or whomever may know. Problem: I'm using the dual boot version of the release by Followmsi this topic is about. I recently bought a Landingship (the price now is ridicuolus... ) and installed the Geekbox board on it. But the headphones jack doesn't work. I don'know if the SPDIF does, but nothing happens when i connect my hp to the jack. I've read that everything should work correctly with his MMellow release, so the question is: could it be 'cause I installed the firmware on the Geekbox board alone, not connected to the Landingship, and thus the drivers didn't install? USB hub, SATA and IR on the Landingship work flawlessly (well, sata not properly like a charm...). Where am I wrong? Any help appreciated!

P.S: I'm not afraid of using shell, if necessary, but I'm far from beeing at ease with linux or android...

Sorry, but M$ did delete the one drive folder.

Only the google drive folder is working ..

All your issues are related to the kernel in use.
You need to compile a new kernel with the "configuration" you need .. either with landingship support or wiithout.

                                Cheers
