I would like to put on the aml auoscript from the update_uboot/mxq pro plus directory on the link. I copy the zip into an sdcard, select it in "update and backup" app, pushing update. After reboot, the bootloader say unknown footer chacksum or just nothing happens with black screen.
Have somebody got a working aml_autoscript for this device? I would like to try out ubuntu.

Hi, Installed this and worked fine, having 1 issue with network, won't connect to network as wireless is not present, and when I connect with wired connection does not pick up a valid IP from my network. Set it to manual and added IP manually but still won't connect. Strange thing is that when on dhcp it does pick an IP up but not in my network range. Does the image have any settings for VPN included?

I have not done this yet on my S905 MXQ Pro Android 5.1.1 OTT TV Box, yet. I want to know if openelec you all installed used on your device does come with a GUI and some (Libre) Office software. I want to use mine with my 42" LED HDMI TV as a Linux desktop computer to do some office works + as a TV Box using kodi.

It does have VPN. Here's a good addon for OE to manage VPN - OpenELEC openvpn manager
You should also check this thread and the update to Libreelec - Openelec for Tronsmart Vega S95 - FreakTab.com

I may be wrong, but AFAICT the difference between the two is the amount of RAM/eMMC storage, i.e. same CPU, etc. Regardless, I want to know if Openelec has a support for GUI (out of the box) to include some (Libre) office packages.I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade...
