Here's a ROM for the cube U30GT 2 RK3188 based on Cube's 4.2.2 v2.04 Test firmware.

Notes

• Flashing will delete everything on your Cube consider backing up first and remove any sdcard

Instructions

• Download and extract to a folder
• connect the tab to the PC (you did remove the sdcard)
• start the ROM flash tool
• put the tab into flash mode, the PC should detect it, see below for instructions
• install drivers if required
• erase idb
• flash, the ROM kit is correctly configured
• the tab should boot to recovery and format cache, data and sdcard (this will take a few minutes)
• the tab should now boot

Let me know how this goes.

So what do you get?

• defaults to english uk
• root with Koush's Superuser
• some bloat removed
• busybox and init.d support
• play/market fixes for more apps in Google Play
• a choice of 2,4,6 and 8 gig app space, 2 is the default but the others can be selected from the flash tool

Booting to Bootloader

• Power off the Cube
• hold Vol + and connect to usb
• After 3 to 4 seconds release Vol +
• The Cube should be detected by the PC.
• If you have not already installed the drivers now would be a good time. I've included the drivers in the ROM kit in the RockusbDriver folder.

I install v10 and everything is ruining very smood, but I did not like the 4.1 ui so I install system.img from v9 and still running nice, even flash player now play videos on stock browser in full screen, thanks for the great job you are doing

I wonder if we can just put the SystemUI.apk and Framework-res.apk from V9 into this one?

I just haven't had time to flash, yet. Maybe in a couple of days. Gotta work, tomorrow.

Yes, the interface is now the 4.1 one... which is fine for me...

Again, everything is much smoother in this version... this is very welcome in the home screen but the much better web browsing experience makes it already worth it to me...

Thanks a lot for your version Brian! I have flashed it and renamed the telephony related apk's and I'm monitoring battery life in stand by at the moment...

No, but I have not tested it too intensively. Keep in mind this is a test version, issues like the one you describe are expected...

About the battery consumption in stand by: After 15 hours it's averaging 0.4% / hour. Not bad, but I was expecting better... looks better than previous releases though...

could somebody let me know how is the battery consumption with this ROM in stand by?

I'm starting to suspect a hardware fault with mine... it was fine the first day but yesterday night it has eaten up 18%, no awake periods, no wakelocks of any kind, WIFI is off. There are almost no apps installed.

Much smoother

I flashed this SS V10 Rom. It is much smoother than previous roms.

PS. As i am a new in the android world: Is there a list of things i have to disable on my u30gt2 tablet? For example Phone.apk. And is it enough just changing the filename?

So you have downloaded funs cube u30gt2 CWM?

I think be suggest renaming the zip to update.zip and installing from recovery. If this does not work I'll take you through extracting recovery.img and flashing.
