Seems to hang frequently, I got fed up with the unresponsiveness. With the previous version the tab just seems to work smoothly.

It runs fine here in every way too. Since no SS Version was available I used the arcatablet Version.

One thing though...It froze three time while performing a root access action while using Titanium Backup.
HDMI Audio OFF fiiiinaaallly works / is implemented. Damn I was waiting for this for ages...while those stupid idiots @ cube still could´t get HDMI screen timeout to fix so If you use the tablet for HDMI playback the accu dies much too quick because cube is too stupid to make this function work.
But it is not that bad, since the plackback suffers from quality issued itself. Massive stuttering with all players.

I did get into deep with those functions because I´m going on holiday and want to use the cube "on the road". I´ll see if my Wifi antenna mod did wonders when I´ll be using the cube with this nice little puppy:

For me my v10 ROM is far better, I find it far better than any of the other roms. As it stands I'm not happy to put my name to the later ROM. If I get the time I'll re-flash and try it again.

after some time w with working with this Rom I have to report that I know what SS is speaking of. Without constant rebooting the system begins to lag like hell. Hang every know than then.

Since this is becoming so annoying that I'll have to flash something else. Will try SS v10.

That's what I was finding, the 2.04 test (my v10) seems to be the best experience. I have noticed quite a few updates of late to chrome etc so it's quite possible that some of these are making things seem worse.

SS Even this your version crashes at times (2..3 times a week) but it is OK this is so much better than other ROMs.

Those of you troubling with bad power supply (touch is random when on power supply). I find this one quite good

It's not perfect, but I find this easily the best of the ROMs.

If you decide to have a go at working your own ROMs we are always happy to help.

Here's a ROM for the cube U30GT 2 RK3188 based on Cube's 4.2.2 v2.04 Test firmware.

Notes

• Flashing will delete everything on your Cube consider backing up first and remove any sdcard

Instructions

• Download and extract to a folder
• connect the tab to the PC (you did remove the sdcard)
• start the ROM flash tool
• put the tab into flash mode, the PC should detect it, see below for instructions
• install drivers if required
• erase idb
• flash, the ROM kit is correctly configured
• the tab should boot to recovery and format cache, data and sdcard (this will take a few minutes)
• the tab should now boot

Let me know how this goes.

So what do you get?

• defaults to english uk
• root with Koush's Superuser
• some bloat removed
• busybox and init.d support
• play/market fixes for more apps in Google Play
• a choice of 2,4,6 and 8 gig app space, 2 is the default but the others can be selected from the flash tool

Booting to Bootloader

• Power off the Cube
• hold Vol + and connect to usb
• After 3 to 4 seconds release Vol +
• The Cube should be detected by the PC.
• If you have not already installed the drivers now would be a good time. I've included the drivers in the ROM kit in the RockusbDriver folder.

~> I'm having some trouble seeing where to change the app space in the flash tool. I've successfully flashed your ROM (which btw is WAAAAYYYY better than the katsy I used before and the one from Cube posted on Geekbuying's website. So much better in fact i'm actually considering keeping the tablet. PLUS Netflix works with no problems now!!!) but I can't figure out how to change the app space. I'm sure it's something simple i'm overlooking. Any suggestions (from anyone with knowledge) would be greatly appreciated.

Look in the ROM folder of the flash kit.

There are multiple parameter files. The default is 2gb. Rename it parameter2gb. Then choose the size you want to use and rename it parameter. Then start the flash tool and erase IDB...and flash.

That's it.

Titanium backup

Hi all
Does titanium backup work for you on this ROM?
I have tried Supersport ROM also Kasty ROM. None working.

OF COURSE!
A Rom with no working TB would be gone within minutes from my tab.
I guess your root is broken or something like this.

But I experience something diefferent which makes me flash another ROM.
The Tab freezes very often in totally different situations.

Not every 5 minutes but much too often for my taste.

If the new V2.04 ain´t better I´ll go back to V2.03 which wasn´t brilliant too but easily more stable.

I'm surprised we haven't seen another official offering from cube.

I guess the next release has to be a SDK 2.0 one and there are still too many things to fix before this can happen.
Currently the latest V2.04 (270713) works pretty nice (but right now just worked about 4hrs with it) but AGAIN I had crashes/freezes (if I recall right 3 freezes) already while reinstalling my stuff.
I think root is not really stable with SDK 2.0 firmwares ´cause I´ve seen it happen always when titanium backup asks for root rights.
