I'm having issues with every time I turn the box off (nexbox a1) when I turn it back on it sometimes only offers 1080/720/480 display settings when my TV is 4k. I have to manually turn it off and on again or unplug it at least once and plug it back in again to see the 4k settings, then it defaults to 4k2k smpte. That setting makes the screen corners off the screen, I prefer 4k2k @ 60hz. I have to manually choose this every time I turn the device off and back on again.
It happens on my x96s also. I think its a bug in the software of the tv box but it could be my tv, I'll have to do some testing and rule out the tv, I highly doubt its the tv.

A user on the Nexbox forums cited an issue with DTS sound clipping in Kodi and Nexbox have posted an updated version to fix it (apparently)

I think it is a UART port. Do the PINs have any markings?

            Hi guys and galls,
recently I have bought NEXBOX A1 on S912 as the replacement / upgrade of my old M8S on S812.
I can confirm the problem with DTS sound, it is clipping every few seconds.
The solution from http://www.inexbox.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=581 doesn't work for me. I can't switch DSP on and receiving "no DSP addon" error.
I have already flashed my device with newest firmware using USB_tool method,.
I know few more people has this problems.
            Please help / advise.
            Kind regards

Try this app using these instructions.

              https://www.dropbox.com/s/2zddngck9y9oma0/PassthroughFix.apk?dl=0

This is an app produced by prahjister to resolve clipping audio when playing AC3 and DTS streams when using passthrough for the S905x but in order to utilise it correctly, you need to give the app storage permissions and a high level of priority. So the way I have configured it, is to first choose Nova Launcher (as least as a temporary measure), bring it on to the home screen, hold down on the icon and choose and select app info from the pop-up menu. Then select App Info as the choice (just once is fine). Then, from the next screen, select Permissions and use the slider to turn the permissions’ on. Go back a screen and select Notifications and slide on Treat as priority. Go back to the home screen and run the app, selecting reboot (you know what will happen next). This will allow the app to auto start and after a few seconds should play a sound (if you have activated HDMI passthrough in settings I believe) to indicate that it is active and running in the background

                Hi All,
I am thinking about this box, could somebody tell me whether this have a true gigabit lan? Not just a chip, at 100 mbit or gigabit at 300 mbit/s
Dispite the Ac3 and dts clicking, does this box any major fault? I would use it with an analog amplifier, I assume this is not a problem for me(yet).

Just a note to say that I updated my Nexbox A3 from Banggood yesterday with the A1 firmware (cyx_NEXBOX-A1_ap6330_16g2g_kodi_addons_161121_SD_USB), and I'm glad I did. Somewhere on the forum at Banggood I saw that they (Banggood's people) said you could use either A1 or A3 firmware and since A1 had later dated firmware I used that (I think the A1 gets preferential treatment). So I guess I have an A1 now in an A3 box. I could not update using the technique at the TV with HDMI (I had TWRP 3.0.20 already on board and it would not update the img file) and using the reset way with firmware in the SD slot so I used the dreaded USB burning way at the PC first updating to this: http://www.mediafire.com/file/4dvc35...v2.0.8_x86.rar. I had failed this way before installing this latest tool I think because this tool updated some drivers (windows 7 here) that made the program finally recognize my Nexbox A3. From there I was minutes away from hooking it back up to my TV and it came up as an A1! I don't see the darkness or green flashing anymore (well it's been only a day so ....). Seems a lot faster though and "smoother". I'm still rooted. Doubt TWRP is still there - didn't check. Had to load my must have software back in so backup any criticals if you use this. I'll answer anything I can. Oh - for anyone that wants to know, the wifi chipset in the thing is a Broadcom 4329/30 - took me a while to find that). Made a great box greater for me. Happy holidays. John

Yes! I am currently using the 14012017 Beta, and I see no difference more then they have switched Kodi to TVMC. I did not like it, uninstalled it and go for TFMC (from this site) anyway, since that build is made specially for Amlogic devices, and everything works perfect. This beta is running as good/bad as last updated stock firmware, so I go for it until next build.

                                I'm sorry: TFMC?
