Hi all, Here is my new firmware mod for the V88-Pro.

Flash box with USB burn Tool.
Boot up box and root with ezroot.zip ( Thank’s Finless) through update and backup app.

Reboot box
Log into Google Play Store and install Youtube.
Open Youtube and when asked update Google Play Services.
This will update both play services and play store.
Install your apps as required.
I have flashed two boxes and they work well.

I flashed rom, all ok. but installation aborted when try to install ez root
Edit: I have some problem, wifi poor playstore problem...keep testing

flashed rom, rooted with ez root
play store crashed during youtube install
just open playstore and leave it few minutes to auto-update Google Play Services then Playstore works fine.
installed task killer, kodi, mx player
so far no problems

Wifi on all these Chinese Android boxes is bad, so don't worry.

I know this, but I am 1 meter away from repeater and i was unable to download anything from playstore. Download don't start for 10 minutes, then sometimes start and downloading at ridicolus speed, connection drop and so on...
I have also a mini m8s II, no problem with wifi at all.
Maybe i will retry to flash firmware again and start over

Edit: I flashed firmware again, this time ezroot flashed correctly. Now it seems work quite good. Wifi is still slow but at moment best rom i have tested.

Are you able to turn off completly and turn on the box with remote controller? This is important for me...

Hi Zatarra, My box only goes into standby as it did with original firmware.
I will be learning how to change setting for remote to switch box off.( Work in progress)
The wifi on both my boxes work well.
I am putting external antenna on both of them to get better range in my daughters room at the back of the house.

Thank again for your work.
About wifi, its not a problem of recepetion but of speed...its extremely slow. But its same also on Scooter2014 firmware.
For example, Netflix have a poor image quality because lack of speed.
I have two V88 pro boxes, both of them same behaviour.
Mini m8s II works flawless on the same spot where they are.

With the two boxes I can stream youtube at 1080dpi without a problem.
I do not have nitflix anymore so I can not check it.
What is netflix like on ethernet Zatanna.

Hi kevin: my problem is to switch on the boxes after totally turned off (in the original firmware there is an option to configure the power button to turn off the box)... but after turn off, the only way to turn on is unplug power cable and then plug in...this is very unusefull mostly if you use libreelec (another little problem: when i start box in libreelec, power light stay red instead of blu)

I flashed mine, and sadly the wifi just refused to connect. I really wish I knew how to help instead of just sounding like I am sitting here complaining to a group of people who are awesome and fix these broken boxes. Your work is appreciated.
