Is there any T95Z Plus with the original T5ZP0030 build that DOESN'T have the WIFI issue when updating the firmware? Thanks

        Please explain your issue.

I've ordered my t95z plus and it has the T5ZP0030 firmware preinstalled in it. I had poor performance WIFI 2mbps up and down.( very slow). so as a noob I've updated the firmware to T5ZP0007 that everyone talk about. and I lost totally my wifi.
Sadly i've saw this topic little late and catch that wrong firmware make my box useless (without wifi)

So after many many hours of search and couple days of wait a new firmware was available for download, it come from a branded NAME Platinum. Wifi fonction is restored but many things in it make it not very professional. so again after couple hours of research I've decided to customize this firmware to make a new one almost identical of the T5ZP0030 I originally had installed on my box (and many other people too across internet)
You probably saw my post with my custom firmware

I took every good things from all t95zplus firmware and make a new one that I consider very good for my skill.

So if you open your t95zplus box and see exactly what @tutorialbs add as picture in his initial post here that's mean you have the 9377 WIFI chip which is the latest WIFI chipset b/g/n/ac.
and you should be able to use it with out issue but probably poor performance. you can flash my custom firmware too, that is almost same result plus some fixes.

If you have another WIFI chip then you should use the original Sunvell T5ZP0007 firmware that everyone talk about (you may try superceleron firmware too that is base on same hardware)

Thanks for your work. I was simply looking to purchase a T95Z Plus and some Amazon sellers I contacted said their devices came with T5ZP0030 and T5ZP0032. Just wondering what I'm in for if I decide to purchase one of them in terms of slow WIFI. So buying a device with T5ZP0030 does not necessarily mean slow WIFI until I open the box. Thanks.

EDIT: In speaking with one Amazon seller with build T5ZP0032, the WIFI chip is Qualcomm QCA9377. Perhaps the WIFI speed is fixed with T5ZP0032? In email communication with him now.

EDIT: Feb 10, 2017. Still waiting for Amazon seller's reply on T5ZP0032 and QCA9377 WIFI chip.

I have the 8830 wifi chip as well, updated fromT5ZP0030 to the sunvel full update 0004 using the usb burning program and to 0007 by ota...

Wifi doesn't work, box has trouble keeping settings saved for date and time if set manually, I have it connected to ethernet through my laptop to use it's WiFi, hoping to find a fix or an external WiFi adapter either usb or Ethernet that works with android.

I am still reading through the thread on page 1.

I am currently using a ugoos firmware which uses the WiFi chip I have, it works but no remote or box display.

atleast I have hardware monitoring on the statusbar which is neat.

I hope someone releases the original firmware for the t95z plus that have the 8830 WiFi chips. Not being able to turn the box on and off with the remote (have to unplug the box from the power now to shut it off) is quote annoying.

Indeed I am, so far everything is working as if it was the original firmware... Remote, box display, the wifi all working.

I'll miss the temperature monitoring from ugoos but at least in have my box back fully working.

I have 2 of these, one has the T5ZP0030 the other is T5ZP0031, on the T5ZP0030 everything is great on 31 wifi constantly disconnects, mostly noticed during sleep or screensaver, both say they are upto date, ( one marked weily the other luckyone . . . . thanx amazon.)

the link is marked for the 9377 wifi chip it should also say 8830 to avoid confusion and am looking for a rom as close to stock as possible. which version was this built from? what mods were made?

It worked for my 8830. So far. Remote and clock display work once again. The launcher is the same as the one the box originally had though some of the apps are different.

Have you tried flashing any of the build on this thread?

I have had success with the one quoted in post 38 on this thread.

                                http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...671#post629671.

I flashed it using the usb burning tool.

Edit: the original software has been replaced with an updated build in that link that is quoted in that post I will give it a try when I get home. I used the guys original custom firmware and it did work well, it got the clock and remote working again. My box has the 8830 wifi andchip inside next to the wifi antenna, cpu z says the system is a something 9377 but the wifi does work
