    Hi Mo ,

i flashed 1.2 with System from 1.3 and it works even the MTP Mode pops up 5 Minutes

after flashing , if i remember good this not happend on last 1.3 .

But i flash back the 1.3 to check it for Bugs then you can make your Rom again something

better . I report what i find and send it to you by txt.File and Screenshots .

    have a nice Day

We should take questions about the Z4 over to one of my threads and not cloud mo123's thread any further. I haven't seen any reports of overheating, and if the device shuts down abruptly that's a power issue not heat.

It won't shutdown due to throttling or heat. One of the f first things I did when constructing the cpu hack was to disable RK's throttling controls; in other words, there's no framework for the system to shut down based on cpu heat at all on my builds. Believe it or not.

If you'd like you can try my next update, it's better tuned in many ways particularly for playback, but Mo123 is spot on about the power supply recommendation.

(pardon the thread pollution Mo123, I'm out)

It can be because of the device getting too hot and the heatsink or cooling is not adequate.
Check if you can put a bigger heatsink on or use a USB fan if possible.
You should also test the power supply to make sure it is stable or use a new one with 3A output, not the cheap ones usually shipped with tv boxes that have half the actual output that's written on them.

Mo123's firmware is built specifically for Nagrace devices, so it follows that it won't run correctly, if at all, on the Z4, due to differences in component configurations, etc.

I have two Z4's I use for testing, they knock the socks off any RK3368/S905/S912x - especially in the ram department. It's not about component selection, it's about firmware, firmware matching, and configurations on a per-device level.

That's AnTuTu 6.3.3 run on a $50 Z4 with LL firmware, 5.1.1. (run like a day ago, and I can run it back, to back, to back, it always scores the same)

Your firmware running MM on Nagrace boxes cannot match that performance. Wouldn't it be ridiculous, though, to claim that it's because Nagrace boxes are 'inferior and use cheap components'? It's especially bogus when you've never inspected them side by side in the first place. It's all biased speculation.

The 'inferior component' performance gap in RK3368 boxes is a myth at best, biased conjecture at worst.

Let's all try to be a little more objective and reasoned with the advice we impart.

I can run whatever benchmark you'd like on my LL firmware running on Z4 and match it against whatever 'premium' device runs Nagrace firmware, MM, N, doesn't matter, and I can guarantee it'll score 15-25% better in the RAM categories, conservatively.

I thought we dispelled the 'cheap components' narrative when it came to these devices long ago. Among the RK3368 they're all comparably built. Many, many firmwareb builds, and endless amounts of testing and debugging solely focused on performance tuning with demonstrable results has led me to this conclusion; all my firmware releases have a primary focus on performance, above all else, so I'm not speaking out of place here.

    Hi Mo once more ,

there is a Bug in the Power Off , if i shutdown over Menu or Reboot App the Device makes a Blackscreen

but still has Power . The Fan i made still runs and the blue Light is still on . In the shutdown Menu the

first frame shows a @2131099654 , is this wanted ???

So this is not the Final FW that i can use for my UT4 . Maybe i can use 1.2 or 1.3 and flash only System ???

That is all first , nice Day

    Hi Mo ,

tonight i downloaded your Rom again , this Time i was able to unzip and flash the FW ,

    but the Size was after unpack 1.03GB (1.107.108.952Bytes) on Storage / Win7 32bit ,

has this to do with 1000 MB and 1024MB & different Systems , or Drive by Hacking ???

Translations are a big step forward , but there are still some things to do , like the

pop up Menu of the Screen capture Time and if you press + in Example Music the

".... zuMusik" is wrong "zur Musik hinzufügen" is right . Of course the rest of this title too .

"nicht ver f ügbar" of course must "verfügbar" together and if u press on "Geräte" the

RKFileexplorer opens , so better is "Dateimanager" or " Meine Dateien" , that for the first

impression all , of course shall i control it later with calm and report any Problems .

Thanks for this great Rom , now i only have to restore my Data and enjoy hopefully

    this new Rom .

    nice Day

    greetings

You must also have a big heatsink or fan as the firmware runs hot.
Try to do a 'EraseFlash' then 'Upgrade' as is recommended when switching between different Android OS versions.
I did erase flash and then upgrade firmware, but no luck. The nagrace logo just appears and dissapears endlessly. In previous version 1.2 I changed the boot.img from this rom. https://yadi.sk/d/yCgsbd2U346cKC and it did work. Tried to do the same with this version, but it didn't help.

    Did you try

These must be used in RKMC, FTMC, NTMC
System-Video-Playback-Adjust display refresh rate to start/stop
Pause during refresh rate change(seconds), 3.0 seconds
System-System-Audio output-Keep audio device alive, never
    Play GUI sounds, disabled/off

When you say 'jumping' what happens, how does it sound?

For the Dolby Digital 5.1, I will just check.
