Alfawise A95X R1 is also pile of junk. I highly recommend to buy another box. I have never had worse tv box, and i have tested more than 20 of them.

I tried many.., many..., many FW from comatible TV Boxes (a lot of sleepless nights)..., and none is working well - same problems in different package, so I have to use some other approach to solve the problem...

Anyway - anyone have problems with this A95X R1... solution is this:

If you already put some or lots of stuff on this Box - just do the factory reset...., and after that on fresh condition... - do not put google account on this Box - and for God's sake do not update Google services...because it will turn this TV Box to a lagging monster...

Download Youtube application from the link from the TV store application it is working just fine on 720p...

Uninstall TVMC and K-addons application.

Often use a memory cleaner...

As you will no longer use the Google Play Store, through the Box Browser download the Aptoide TV application or just Aptoide for any aplication you want (except Google aplications which will need update of Google services)....

And at the end install ZDMC of fresh Kodi Jarvis or Krypton from some Store or download through Web Browser...and adjust it according to your needs...

This is it.., - NOW YOU HAVE A FULLY (far from great) WORKING A95X R1..., and it is enough fast, and tolerable "good" - but only for Kodi, Youtube, - and Media player...

Got a lot of RK3229 boxes, after many days and nights trying to fix things had to send them back.
They were so slow, it was ridiculous.

Not sure but think it has to be the eMMC chips, previous boxes used much better memory.

Only thing that seemed help things a bit was this app.

Trimmers (SSD Boost) help on healthy (solid) hardware configuration, but on this Box (A95X R1) - this is not the case..., I tried your suggestion..., on first sight..it looks kind of better, but things get only worse, and TV Box become more lagging and slow...
Every install and uninstall, is painfully slow...
After uninstall large applications (with addons like the Kodi) Tv box freeze for the next 2-3 minutes ...

Previous RK3229 where great, did everything very well, sold quiet a few.
4K quad core box should work just fine in 2017.

Complain to the seller, send it back maybe they stop selling such shit boxes.

This is the same Youtube experience like on NexBox A95X R1 - (with fresh installed from Play Store and updated Google services) but if you install "default" Youtube apk from "The Box TV Store" it will work actually decent...
Do not update Google services and do not put Google account so apks will not update..., use only what was installed with the Box FW...
I did so.., and use ZDMC as I described with only a few addons or some very light build... and performace will be tolerable, but not for those with thiny nerves or patience...

I do not have patience..., I did make a complaint to Banggood and they refund me 100% without need to send Boxes back..., so a big plus for refund and big minus for selling this shit NexBox A95X R1 TV Boxes...., and I'm totally surprised by the comments of the buyers, as if they bought some other Tv Box from some other planet...weird...

This NexBox A95X R1 has 4 types of internal flash memory: (as I know till now)

• SanDisk (good one)
• Baron - good...
• Toshiba (tolerable)
• Micron technology - (worst)

To me - came with Toshiba and MicronT...

OK this goes for anyone have issues with RK3229 boxes, if your eMMC / Nand is Micron, send it back.

An easy way to check the storage chip is with AndroidTool v2.35.
Use the last tab.
No need to even open a Rockchip tv box.
If you don't have Samsung(best), Toshiba, Sandisk EMMC storage send it back and it will save you a lot of headache in the future.

If you were thinking of Android KitKat (4.4) - I tried it from V88, and lots of stuff is not working..., and ROM is not faster than Lollipop or MM...

Only solution can be, but for now it is imposible, to use some kind of LibreElec or OpenElec on external sd card to override the usage of internal flash memory...

sappy tried 4.4 had the same issues. Shit Chip shit performance.
They run a stress test before shipping, with this last lot , no one, not even the supplier sat down and run a F^&%^^$ video or used playstore to see if it works.
