I just test.

I had a problem. Finally, i Getthe solution, with a firmware..... maybe not correct, but it fix the problem. It's different, because, playtore nos working 100% , and other details... but, worked.
Now, i have twsted this formware. It's flash good, but.... Not working. The dashboard is freeze.....

Begin, logos in screen, dashboard.... and logos again.... after dashborad...and... freeze forever...

I wil try flash the old firmaware again....

Recently i took in my hands this tv box with this board ( XJH_MX173_V00 2017_03_03) from a friend who bricked it !
There was no responting from pc and it was ''working'' only a blue/red led !
I fanally unbricked it with ''short pin'' of 8 & 9 and with this Z69-2017516 firmware !
After that i saw that this firmware had a lot of restricted issues on playstore !
So i made a mod one clean with no pre-apps (no kodi) ,with status and navigation bar , one tap clean , rgb fix app, has root access and with playstore working 100%

NOTE : After first boot give permissions to music app and browser !
!!! DON'T USE RGB FIX FROM IT'S SETTINGS !!!

Bugs : No recovery working

Don't worry , there is a reset button right up from the mac address sticker and if you follow the instructions from the flash tool you'll find the way !
By the way , this rom you tested was Android 6 or 7 ?

I dont know.... cause the name of file is only Z69 fimrmare.... and qhen i flash it, i cant use the dashboard..... I cant see settings....

The littble button for recovery, dont works.....

I also bought this Box but 2/16GB with Samsung momory chip and with 17.1.2. PCB is XJH_MX173_V01 2017_04_24 - but all this FW which gatos814 posted - NOT working on my Box.
Every time I try to flash I get error from Burning tool - [0x00101004]Erase bootloader/Lowper/Identify/Error result

I tried different computers (laptop, desktop) with Windows 10, and different usb cable, but every time I get this Error above...

Firmware which came with the Box is laggy as hell and video in Kodi or some other app is jerky and cutting so can anyone help me with some advice or which FW to try...

Open usb tool , upload firmware and push start and after plugging the usb cord with the tv box just plug and the power adapter and all will be ok!

for root is a complicated metod , need a sd and other , wait 1-2 days to upload a file and minimal info

Hello All,

If it is not too late then can somebody please help with a guide to install TWRP on the android box. I have multiple copies sources from various forums but all of them suggest to install it via recovery i.e. pressing the recovery button on the bottom of Z69 box but for me that does not seem to work. The android box does not go to recovery for me to install the .img file.

I have also tried creating a update.zip file for the recovery.img and tried installing from the inbuilt software "update & backup" but failed. I also tried remote via adb terminal over wifi but no success.

Why you want to install the recovery?
In Amlogic tv boxes can run via an sd card without installing!

It seems that there are people with very good knowledge of this model here.

So, first of all i have a Z69 2G/16G with this information in my android device :

Model : Z69
Android security patch level : 01/08/16
Version : 6.0.1
Serial number : 0123456789abcdef
Build : p212-userdebug 6.0.1 MHC19J 20170516 test-keys

My first question is, is this firmware is ok for my box ? Z69-2017516.img, i get it in the post up on this topic

And second question, i'm interessed to run Android TV on this box, did some of you do so ?
And witch img did you use ?

they said that all S905X are compatible but did some of you try it ?
