    Hi ,

dont know what you mean with drilling and Antenna , but if you look

on Page Nr.2 , you can see the Antenna , it is inside the Box , soldered

to PCB , glued to inside chase , not the chase self is Antenna !!!

    greetings / gefattern

Regarding an external FAN for this box...
I just got done taking the H96 Max apart and putting it back together. There's zero room in this box
for a fan. What I've decided to do is buy another AC INFINITY 120mm USB fan and sit
this box on top of it. This fan has rubber feet on the top and bottom for spacing. I use
this fan on my router that used to run at 80+ Centigrade...Now it runs 20C cooler (On medium setting).
This fan has three speed settings. I did plug the fan I use on the router into the H96Max's USB port
and it powered it fine using the stock powersupply. But as I use that port for my thumb drive and I already
use the other port for a dongle for my mouse/keybord I will be powering the fan with a 120volt to 5volt AC adapter
which I already have (Tested already and works). Fan is on order.
Supposedly I read in another thread that someone who tested a before and after with a fan had a huge jump
in their AnTuTu score with the fan. I tested (with AnTuTu) my score last night in current stock form and got around 65000...
I'll report back when I get the fan installed and retested. Even if it doesn't make much difference it will at least
cool this box which gets quite hot. I will drill some additional holes on the bottom of the unit to assist airflow.
I will leave the top of the box intact for appearance sake...

Well I didn't see anywhere the files were unpacked...
I tried to do just the "Upgrade" setting with AndroidTool but it didn't seem to make
any difference....Still overwrote everything with a fresh installation.
But it was a good exercise in reloading....Reloaded everything in only a couple of hours as I had
all backups staged and I was familiar with Nougat now. Up and running now
and everything working (including the recovery menu)...
I wish the heck that H96 had made it easier to boot from a SD card like the MXqPro4k so it
would be much easier for TWRP and also for LibreElec...I have both those booting from an
SD card on the MXqPro4k. Maybe something for a future firmware update.
Anyway very happy with the H96Max(RK3399)...I don't see myself using MXqPro4k much anymore.
The H96Max is just too F-A-S-T!!!

Only $13.45,buy TZ MX9 - M Wireless Keyboard Air Mouse at GearBest Store with free shipping.

I tried first using FLASHIFY.....It said success flashing...
Tried to boot into recovery then but just got the H96 Logo and then it would shut off after a while.
So then I flashed again with the OFFICIAL TWRP APP....Rebooted and same thing..
When trying to go into recovery I now just get the H96 Logo and eventually it shuts off....

So for whatever reason it seems that this image does not work (On my box anyway)...

Is there anyway to get the stock H96 recovery back without flashing the entire H96 image??
The box still boots fine....It's just my recovery that is gone.
    Hi ,

u can try to unpack the Stockrom with latest AndroidTool and then flash the

extracted Recovery , but not sure if AT can handle 7.1.2 ,

i hope u unchecked all others and only flashed the Recovery , good luck with

your next try , otherwise you must flash complete new ,

    greetings / gefattern

about a RK3399 TWRP Recovery , so best before u start backup all your important Data &

use EasyAppBackup App for backup only the Apps , to SD , so you must not go online to

OK...I do have all apps and addons backed up...
However for now I think I'll wait until the next major firmware update (Maybe Oreo in the future).
Then I'll try it at that time since I would be reinstalling everything anyway so if it doesn't work
then no big deal. Right now my H96Max is working absolutely great for all the apps and KODI
for what I use it for...Compared to what I had been using for the last 2 years this box is supersonic
and I'd hate to mess it up right now.
Could you point me to the burning utility to download so I have it for the future. THANKS for your help and information.
