    Hi,

really need some help here. Bought my Stick and it worked well, after changing the firmware I did not get any Wifi (it is a RK3188 with AP6120). Tried many all of them worked but no WIFI.

Luckily I found the original firmware ( http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php.../#.Ute9E2R5MnX ) and it started working again. But 720 is still stuttering a bit.

I suppose that the J22 / CX921 II would also work. Can any one tell me what Firmware / Kernel should I try next? I understand this threat but what I am missing is a clear indication which Firmware + Kernel to use. Ideally I would like 1080p and a speed focused setup (ideally only XBMC).

    Thanks, Tom

Hey, I have tried this kernel but xbmc does still have a bit of stutter. Do you know whats causing this? I am using Nexus SDK2 Rom. Henrik

you just need to edit the Build.prop file and then set the video.overlay=1

if the kernel doesn't work, you can try modifying your stock kernel using this step here:
    http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?8933-Bluetimes-BT919-GM282-or-J22-or-CX919II-(RK3188-with-wifi-AP6210)-OC-dan-Vsync-Fix&p=122057#post122057
Thanks for reminding me to try the video overlay setting in build.prop I forgot about that setting. But tried that and no go. When i do that the screen gets a lot smaller, and it has no effect on flashing screen with a 1080 kernel. The kernels I have used already have the vsyncfix applied.
(or at least they should, some posters said they do, and when I try to apply the fix i get this output
    Code:

    Vsyncfixomatic v1.0

    =============================

Tried MANY different ROMs with MANY(the 5 or so I can find for the J22 made at 1080) different Kernels.

as well as others in this post and on the forms here.
Like I see many others reports, I can get 1080p output but no WiFi&BT stable or 720p output with WiFi&BT stable, or 1080p w/ working WiFi&BT not stable, screen keeps flashing on and off. I tried a stronger power supply, with the same results.

Who has a J22 working with 1080p/WiFi/BT ? And What ROM/Kernel combination are you using?

Neomode, I 'heard' your http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...rs-with-AP6210 should be working, will it ever with J22 and 1080p?

A couples times I've corrupted the NAND flash by failing to properly unplug/eject the device/storage from my Windows PC. If you have CWM installed, I believe you can re-format the NAND Flash. It took me a few tries, but it eventually worked. Good luck!

the problem was that when ever im trying to flash a neomode rom the screen loose signal and flickes alot.
any way i found the right setup of Kernels and rom to run the J22 AP6120 smoothly.

im uploading a link to a package that i made for u using neomode 1.3 (respect!).
all u need to do is run flash tool 1.37 and load each line apart.

    wifi&BT works perfect.
    its a 720P only.

    this is the download link:

Nice work! For me to it's the first crom dat doesn't flicker. I just have an issue with the NAND memory: NAND not mounted. Any ideas?

Again very nice work and thanks.

I've tried the reboot bootloader via terminal emulator to, but no success.
Hm...it's probably needed to lock contacts on a Hand Flash...

    Stil flickering

    Hi,
I tried several roms and kernels now. Some worked without flickering, but had broken wifi or Bluetooth. The ones with working wifi and BT flickered.
The only rom with less flickering was the one from post #230.
For testing I connected the stick to a 1920x1200 display and with rom from #230 it was not flickering at all. Full of hope I switched to my TV set an the stick was starting to flicker again. In the settings / screen menu I changed resolution from 1920x1080 60 Hz to 1280x720 50 Hz and the flickering was almost gone. Almost in this case means scree outage every 60 seconds. On my 1920x1200 display the stick did not offer me the 50 Hz setting.

Did anyone make similar experience? Could the frequency be the key to a working kernel? Is there a way to log that so somebody can fine-tune the kernel?

    Cheers,

    Pursch

Yep, but only with supplied usb cable does the LED lit up when i connect it to the OTG. With all other cables (from cell phones) the stick gives no reaction at all when connected to OTG. they all fit niceley into the OTG port, because it is indeed very close to the antennas.

If power is connected too, the stick is not recognised correctly for flashing.
