Hello,

Here is the first Custom Rom for the MK806.
The Rom is based on the Latest Firmware availability.
Removed all not useful Software and Bloat Ware.

Features:

- Rooted
- Init.d Support
- Android TV Launcher make by me
- Ultra Explorer File Manager with Backup (GPL Edition)
- Xposed Framework from XDA-Dev for Netflix Patch if needed
- Reboot & BlackScreen App

I have tested Wifi & Bluetooth and both Work.
Wifi Streaming over YouTube are o.k

The TV Launcher sometimes gives a not responding error but other than that the first test seem to be okay...! I haven't had the opportunity to test the 3.5 mic audio port yet though. Thanks a lot for putting this together!

great downloading and testing now..

ok tested it so far, and for me anyway:

bluetooth working: connected to s3 sent mp3 transferred (a bit slow) but it worked, mp3 played no bother so 3.5mm jack port working.

but wireless still not working for me. thinking it may be my router, but when using stock rom from kimdecent wireless works, but flakey. The device gets and ip but cant browse. So thinking it was my router i turned off mac filter and turned on ssid , still the same. created hotspot using s3 connects and browses no bother.

So i still think it could be my router (orange ee bright box), but as i said using stock rom unstable connection no issues with and without security measures.

everything else looks sweet on the rom top job neomode.

EDIT: ok properly scratching my head now , stock or 1.7c are not working on wireless for me. But all my phones and laptops are.
EDIT2: device sitting too close behind tv stopping signal, moved back to original position wifi working for stock & 1.7c
EDIT3: don't i feel stupid, now device into optimum position for wireless able to get on the net with neomode's new rom, but certainly not as strong as stock or 1.7c rom's not sure if that's down to drivers. Must do that mod for boosting wifi signal. Thing is the signal strength states good every time. but if i move it a metre or so closer it gets 3 bars instead of 2 turns blue and connects to internet.

Hi folks,

Well I also f*cked up my mk806 (by removing the "grean pea" app).

So googling around I found this site.

As for this custom ROM:
I downloaded it, and flashed to the MK806.

I have sound, but no wifi, (MK806 only 75 cm away from router, and with the wifi but no sound roms it works very good as a wifi receiver - .
and the guy answering two lines before me (pope_acute) also has wifi ; what am I doing wrong?
Should I start from the ROM with wifi but no 3,5mm sound or I forgot to do
anything.

The Neocustom rom looks verygood anyway, so my compliments "zum Neomode"!

Can anybody be of help?

Which version of the mk806 did you have ? My Rom is for the Wi-Fi Bluetooth Version.

Well i do have the type with the blue cover on the usb side of things.

don't know if that describes enough.
I now flashed the "update_mk807_601j1601.img"
and wifi is really good but there's no sound this way to the 3.5mm.

Your flashtool is more advanced than the one i use for this "update_mk807_601j1601.img".
should I remove the 'tick' at kernel or anything?

Just for test i'll flash yr Rom again,
and try-out blue-tooth.
I regularly do not use der blauer zahne, but for testing...
Doing right now.
15:57 done
tried bluetooth --> nothing
wifi --> nothing.

Still think I forget a thing.
All items are ticked except for 'update'

This can be a problem with your power supply. Please check this. After this and it not work please try a different usb cable.

You could try aptiode to install and see if this works to install a regular app.

If this works okay you could reinstall play store probably
