Hi All
I have also this one of the Mini M8S Pro box (2/16Gb) and was some wrong opinion with this box software
I read some article from web, and i am find much firmware what function on this box.
Probed and installed some of them, here is my list what were good

I use the USB Burning Tool to load rom.
I think a lots of firmware work this box, only must focus the s912 (q201 board) and q9377 chipsets.
When you want install a wrong image, the Usb Burning tool wont load this, so you couldn't make brick your device.

now i use Mod Ugoos AM3 1.1.4 Android 6.0 firmware, because this has own youtube app where you could use infra remote to controll, and all youtube app playing the 4K videos. and has Nav Bar

for Tronsmart the lincense.zip link is broken so i have a license issue on USB BURNING TOOL
For all others firmwares i always have a same issue:
