Yeah this is android TV so its primarily for apps from TV play store, even though you can side load tablet/phone apps
they are not built for ATV and many will not work correctly.

you can use a nice app to convert your tablet or phone to be the head unit to your tv, not just a button or mouse remote. The TV casts it's display to your device and everything is controlled as if your tv has touch screen in the palm of your hand. No need for modded control files, and only requires a good dpi for accuracy. Has about a second or two lag with some selections depending on activity and app processing. Solid explorer classic bombs out, but the newer version is fine.

You can give the app a try, as it helps with modding, system and config. Especially with non ATV apps. Look for romo droit.

Also a lot expect a touch screen, meaning even a mouse wont work.. that apply's to stock as well though and the main reason i'm all for ATV OS on TV

I understand, about having ATV being the better option. Though I am so use to having segragation between my tv channels being on a standalone streaming app. Never liked Hulu and Netflix after their change up a few years back. I use a programme monitor / schedule app that tells me which channel and air date, so I just go to the particular channel app and no a each needed.

Plus, if you notice, most all yank streaming apps are heavily tied into Google, and bloated with background services. Of all the Euro streaming apps, only two or three are larger than 14MB, and have hardly any background services. US based streaming apps are always above 14MB and have Akami and Google running background ad services.

so far, with a proper setup the stand alone apps do very well, on 63" 1080 screens and smaller. Once you get over 80" and larger for 10 foot or 3 meter seating, the 4K kicks in on a proper telly.

Tillaz87, I had tested with your 10.7 build on my Mini M8S Pro-C, and liked using it, but my older apps and apps made for tablets and phones were buggy. So i am back on stock for now.

Thanks for all your effort with such a build, it was a pleasure to see it work on my new box. Unfortunately I will be looking for a firmware to change my boot loader for 6.0.1, if possible. Seems that my boot loader is locked to 7.1 builds. Every 6.0.1 flash i have done breaks the box.

No, the very first batch with 6255 chip, it freezes mostly when I use video streaming apps, not only youtube, the ATV 6.0 rom from superceleron works great, maybe is the Android 7.0 issues

So whats your boxes SN?

Mine is A912 and this works well for me and lots of other s912, infact your the first to report this over the whole 176 pages.. without a logcat though, its impossible to know why your box has issues

after crash/freeze I would need

I was having problems to connect via bluetooth, so i flashed the zip in mainpost, but bt still not working, so no remote

I plan on testing with remodroid, as a nice option to make your Android device's screen be the TV to control with your touch. Pretty snazzy and convenient with 6:9 tablets or any phone.

You may have a GT1 Ultimate with fake RAM where it reports that it has 3GB but it really only has 2GB.

You can test this by flashing the stock Beelink ROM and then install Fill Ram from the playstore.
What should happen is Fill Ram will fill the RAM to over 90%, and show on screen that RAM is low but will keep running.
On my 706DO GT1 Ultimate with fake RAM it won't fill past 62% before the Fill Ram app closes and it doesn't even show on screen that memory is low.

This is disgraceful if true .. but not surprising one bit.. nice find. We need more data from 3GB users

This rom is very good, but there are some little issues for me:
-android tv remote control app don't work(i have no idea on how to fix)
-some keys of my keyboard don't work(i think i can fix using the post/guide linked on mainpost)
-this rom uses only 2 gb(i have 3 gb variant)

Anyone can help me on 1° and 2° issue?
Do you think i have to use another rom compatible with 3gb ram?
